I'm hoping for that re2 remake first.

-Foxtrot3401d ago

Same. It's going to be amazing

As for RE8...back to third person please.

Hopefully the RE2 Remake sales will show them old school RE is not "dead" like they think.

Becuzisaid3401d ago

Haven't played re7 yet, so can't say for sure that it's a complete departure from the older games. I'm willing to give it a shot though.

It would be cool if they made it both 3rd and 1st person view. Example, if you could change perspective in a menu setting or something. Might mean they'd have to dump the old scheme for 3rd person entirely, however. Because doing two different control schemes would probably cost too much to be worth it. Think 3D control scheme in Silent Hill 2. It'd work in 3rd and 1st.

Hopefully, we will see that at E3 with probably an early release next year. Right now it's too early for predictions since the DLC still has yet to come out.

I hope so, this game is amazing. If someone prefer RE I,II,III - this is it. This game have that all. Dark mysterious residence, puzzles...old good times :)

Best PS VR tittle so far - I want more!!!

Kyosuke_Sanada3401d ago

It would be nice if it went the route of 3.5 that had all perspectives in it. VR support should continue to be supported.

TeamIcoFan3401d ago

I wouldn't say that if I were you, otherwise extremely salty people like sdcard4gb and -foxtrot might come along to tell you what a horrible person you are for actually enjoying something they don't. :I

Kyosuke_Sanada3401d ago (Edited 3401d ago )

I do agree on Foxtrot and Sdcard on some issues that they have with Resident Evil 7 because I too am waiting for a AAA third person survival horror game. However, I don't deny that there are many people (including myself) that also enjoy virtual reality in them. If Capcom were to have two studios instead of my early suggestion, one that continuously to works on 3rd person more traditional Resident Evil games and the another that continues to work on first person VR supported sequels, I would be just as happy and support if they remain consistent in their releases. Atlus have done the same with P Studio and Team Maniax in order to please both sides of the Shin Megami Tensei fanbase which is a much smaller company than Capcom.

WHile RE 7 is good I hope they keep the side series Revelations for the classic RE feel. I believe there is room for two styles of RE. The only one they need to get rid of is the style of 5 & 6.

Review - Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (Switch 2) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s been nearly ten years, but Resident Evil 7 hasn’t aged a day. Its brand new Switch 2 port not only showcases that its gameplay is still fresh and tense after all these years, but also showcases how well Nintendo’s portable can handle some of the more demanding games from the previous generation, with a handful of improvements to make it look as good as its current-gen counterparts. There’s also the fact there’s a ton of extra content for you to enjoy, from videos to entire new modes and side campaigns, so this is a worthy inclusion to the Switch 2’s currently minute library, and a great excuse for you to replay one of the most important horror games released in recent memory."

they look great. Solid ports.

repsahj119d ago

Hoping for a small Direct for these games. Especially RE9.

repsahj119d ago

The village graphics is insane!

repsahj119d ago (Edited 119d ago )

Smooth gameplay already! So excited for my Generation Pack pre-order. I already platinum RE7 on PS5, but I don't have the chance to play Village.

By the way, the RE7 and RE8 included in Generation Pack are both the Gold Editions.
