They better include Wolverine and the X-Men universe characters

xDealtwithIt3379d ago

With Ryu not fighting Wolverine its doubtful the Xmen characters are in it.

3-4-53379d ago

they don't have the rights to X-men so prob no x-men.

Majin-vegeta3380d ago

Did they mention it was a reboot?

badattitude3d3379d ago

Yes, it's not a numbered entry and the gameplay is being completely redone. Whoever the Admin was, they didn't actually read the article.

Christopher3379d ago (Edited 3379d ago )

Not being a numbered entry doesn't mean reboot and no one has called it that yet other than the journalist in question. Whoever the journalist is shouldn't put words into articles that aren't being said officially. They should report the news, not create it.

Christopher3379d ago

No, they didn't. They just didn't have a number on the end of it and the journalist decided that meant it was a reboot.

http://blog.us.playstation....

I have it saved, they sourced this article.

Seems like a reboot to me, entirely different gameplay structure and not once do they say it is a sequel.

Christopher3379d ago

***Seems like a reboot to me***

Exactly the issue. Seems like a reboot is an opinion, it is not news. No one has called it a reboot and the verbiage used in the article is the same verbiage when they go from a 1 to a 2 or a 3 fighting game.

And, not calling it a sequel doesn't mean a reboot. It can be its own thing while the other exists. Reboot infers ignoring all past work and starting over anew.

Sorry, but your opinion is not news. You can write an opinion piece about it, but you should not be reporting it as news.

PhoenixUp3380d ago

Seeing Ryu take on Iron Man just doesn't feel as special as him fighting his classic rival Wolverine. At least Megaman X is in a fighting game for once.

But I got a question. With a subtitle like Infinite, where do you go from there? Will there be any future sequels

Christopher3379d ago

Infinite probably means it will just roll in new Marvel/Capcom characters over time via DLC and you likely won't see a sequel in a very very long time. It's a common method in most Marvel games now on phones and it seems to be making its way into this game. Infinite also is a good name to tie into the whole infinity stones/war storyline to be played out in their upcoming movies in 2017/18/19.

FloydianAndroid3379d ago

I don't think any x-men characters will be included in this.

Christopher3379d ago

It will likely focus on the 'Avenger' movies and the players in that.

Silly gameAr3379d ago

I think I would pass on that.
