Dear Titanfall 2, Your Multiplayer Can Wait

Titanfall 2 is only a few weeks away from its release and it’s not the game’s multiplayer that excites me. Even though I spent hundreds of hours playing the original Titanfall on both Xbox One and PC with its non-stop multiplayer action that I completely fell in love with, it’s now the single player campaign …

I'm the opposite. Multiplayer looks great, you can keep the emotional mech journey on indefinite hold.

apart from the fact TF is a MP game at it's core... good one, no wonder we get tacked on SP for MP focused games now which just do not need them and are put in to solely cater to people who won't buy anything unless they can shoot bots in a linear mission.

It's not a "MP game at it's core", where did you get that from? Just because the first one was MP only? They've said a thousand times that they wanted to make SP for the first game and couldn't because of resource and time constraints. As great as it was, TF1 was not worth $60, it was about as big as the multiplayer component of a full MP+SP game.

If you look at the things they're doing in SP with Titan and pilot gameplay, moving environments, puzzle solving, and platforming unique to titanfall gameplay, it's kind of insulting that you're disregarding that as "shoot bots in a linear mission" just because you don't have interest in it. You obviously haven't seen there vidocs, they seem passionate about what they're doing, not catering to people because they have to. Unless they are lying and it's all marketing, in which case I'll gladly retract my comments.

They had a separate team work on the campaign, and obviously got a lot more resources, and took extra time to work on it so you can't just assume all that would've gone into MP had they chosen to be MP-only again. That is a misconception IMO, if they wanted to make TF2 MP only EA would've shortened their budget to save on cost and we'd likely get the same game just without SP. If you look at the MP only games this gen, that seems like the trend, save on cost of SP and charge full price for MP. Titanfall, Evolve, Star wars BF, Rainbow Six, were all short on content riddled with microtransactions and DLC, sorry but I'll take Titanfall 2 with a campaign and MP any day.

I agree with this. The time travel mechanics. The sense of scale. The relationship with your mech. The bosses all had personalities. It's a wonderful game.

Yeah it was good, but it only did the time travel bit in one level. Dishonered 2 did the same thing. Now how about a game where it's implemented throughout the gameplay? Singularity says Hello (and deserves so much more recognition).

Never say never, I really didn't expect to ever see Space Marine 2 and 12 years later its almost here.
So there is still hope for all these games.

I've completed 5 of the games on the list, but the author forgot to include Advent Rising. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but it bombed hard, and the two sequels never got made. It was Mass Effect, a console generation before Mass Effect.

The game is buggy and unpolished, it needed a few more months of development, but the potential was there. At the end of the game, you have all these super abilities, I remember the stomp attack that created a shockwave being especially powerful.

I personally think days gone will recieve some sort of sequel at some point. I'm personally also hoping it's not the rumored multiplayer online stuff. I'd think most that enjoyed it would rather thisnto.

Sony needs to dust off Sly Cooper and Days Gone so needs a sequel two of my favorite Sony titles. Bulletstorm I love great game wish it also got a sequel. And I wish Namco would finally give Enslaved a sequel another great game.

A best all time mecha game list without Zone of the Enders even on the list is 100% crap to me. Worth saying twice though not intentional
