This is close enough to what I would have liked to see....but....hang on....EB Games? Australia? This is a joke right? It's coming to other regions aswell?

Hopefully other places do a Steelbook

CorndogBurglar3556d ago

Seriously?

The guy that is constantly complaining about things is okay with a remaster from last gen costing $100?

Thats $60 for the game, and $40 for a book.

Forget the book. The fact that the game is $60 is a joke. Its how many years old? 6? And they are charging full price? I mean come on.

Jeez calm the f*** down

Prices are higher in Australia anyway. If it came to other places I would mind paying a little more for some extra goodies which will make the remaster worth it

I'm only getting Bioshock the collection for example because you get a Steelbook preorder wise

Some of the fun in playing Skyrim was collecting and/or reading the lore books. Most of the books appeared very dog-eared which was very appropriate since the events in Skyrim are set 400 years after the events in Oblivion, whereas in Oblivion the lore books were very new looking.

Oh well, I suppose this is for those people who can't be bothered finding those lore books in the game even though you are effectively tripping over them every time you enter a castle, house or even a dungeon. The Mages Guild Librarian quests sent you all over Skyrim even to the island of Solstheim if you had the Dragonborn DLC. If you joined the Mages guild you had access to most of the lore books anyway plus there was no real need to purchase a house since you were given a room you could put your stuff in.

wait, doesn't this remaster already include all the dlc??

kingdom183556d ago

Yeah, that's what I thought. On PC you need all DLC to get the free upgrade so you would think it is already included on consoles as well, I think the writer was just saying the "special edition" which is the normal version has the base game plus all DLC.

I have the PS3 legendary edition of Skyrim and installing all the DLC before starting the game was a very bad idea. since I started to get very annoying bugs/issues about 30 hours into the game.

Ok the most annoying issue was the 6MB bug (it's never been fixed) in that when your saves started to exceed 6MB the autosaves started taking up to 30~40 seconds which effectively froze the game until the save finished.

This was very annoying going in and out of buildings. The only fix was to turn off all autosaves and save manually although this is pretty easy to do and in many ways better although you learn to do this pretty quickly when you loose a couple of hours of gameplay.

it's a good thing i will get this for free becuase i would not even think of buying it even if it was 30$ i already have the collection a little ray light and volumetric fog would not be convincing enough. http://www.nexusmods.com/sk... https://www.youtube.com/wat...

I collect figures. When it comes to games all I want is the game nothing more. For those who do like collectors editions by all means indulge.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981160d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
