Very cool. I imagine that it wont play cartridges judging from the size of it but the game selection is very good.

And this past few weeks been thinking about buying an NES but on the fence due to the price spike for consoles and games.
This is awesome move by Nintendo so now I can finally get the NES
smaller and with 30 built-in games for $60
Will buy this and try it to see if this can lead me to buy the OG NES!

I want sega to get on this for a Saturn, we already have classic megadrive/genesis collections. I want a Saturn and Dreamcast version. People are already emulating those so Sega, time to make money out of it.

Wow my kids will each have their own! I suggest everyone buy at least 2, one for you and one to give away. If this is successful maybe they will do this with their other consoles. This is much better than their Virutal Console strategy because you wont have to invest in their console ecosystem. Its a $60 investment instead of $300 for the system and $5 per title in the eShop.

Also, Instead of a trickle they give you a flood of 30 good to great games. Wii U owners have had to wait for years to get half this collection. I love this strategy and am kicking myself for not buying nintendo stock when it was $13. This coupled with Pokemon Go, Zeldas e3 showing and NX on the horizon is pushing their stock to crazy prices and its only looking up. But Im more excited to see how they utilize their franchises on a home console with power comparable to x1 and ps4. They're getting their swagger back it seems and they're giving tangible goods in an era of digtal. This is going to be a fruitful market for Nintendo.

Cool! I'd even buy one with normal size if it has 30 games for that price.

I hope they look good and they don't botcher it adding graphic and sound filters with no options to disable them, some people rather original low hz instead of distorted 48000 high pitched "interpolated" sound, samw goes for pixels. I want glorious pixels in HD, not apologetic smudges ruining the sprites outline!

wow how cool is this! I wonder if there is an original slot on there for people to be able to use original cartridges like how Sega released a small Genesis with built in games but also had a cartridge slot too. That would make it ultimately cool.

This is genius! I'm buying this for sure!!! I still have my original NES from the 80s, and I actually own most of the games in the list except for Super C, Zelda and about 4 others. I was wondering when Nintendo would pull their heads out of their asses, but as they say, better late then never!

Nintendo needs to get out of the hardware business and go third party.. we already have loads of devices that will play their games. Just give us the means to purchase your games on the devices we already have and make more money!

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
