Gabe Newell is no God. Praise him as you will the company PC gamers love so much is a shambles. Steam is a mess of a store with rubbish games piling in left and right and Valve are promising games for 10 years and answering no questions about the current state or progress of development. All press and consumers know is a whole pile of nothing and it’s a shambles.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I agree that the Steam marketplace is a complete mess. They even had a movie on the ticker yesterday. In my opinion, they need to have an Indie section and a Major Publisher section, pretty much as two separate store fronts. They should also have some sort of quality control with regards to the indie games, since they are allowing huge amounts of garbage into their store on a daily basis pretty much. I also think a separate Japanese store page would be good, simply due to the massive amounts of Japanese games that they are releasing.
The words steam, quality and control should never be in the same sentence when it comes to valve.
