With Dark Souls, From Software went from a prolific but niche studio to one of the most celebrated Japanese video game companies working today. The latest game in the series is a legitimate mainstream hit, “Souls-like” is a burgeoning genre, and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team have joined gaming royalty for their wonderfully-, terrifyingly-realized worlds.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

Today, Koei Tecmo announced its financial results for the full fiscal year 2025, related to the period between April 2025 and March 2026.
Bloodborne 2, pliss!!
"Brighter Souls", are you serious!? FROM's inspirations have always been drawn from darker themes, and if Bloodborne is any indication I think they plan to stay the course. I'm hoping for more lovecraftian oddness honesty, and 'At the Mountains of Madness' would be the perfect source of inspiration IMO. If they decide for a Sci-Fo theme I hope they use the Alien franchise as inspiration (namely Alien and Prometheus). Either source has boundless potential to be a dream come true.
As long as they keep that combat system. Don't care if it's shields/dodge or regain system/dodge or both. Stay with that interconnecting/shortcut maps setup and level design. They will always pay attention to detail.
No map, no objective list, no gps. Keep that not so forgiving save system, you make a choice you stick with it. Keep you guessing, keep it weird.
We're all good here. Doesn't even matter what the title is. I have full faith From Software won't dissapoint.
I wish they'd make an open-world RPG game as huge as GTA/SKYRIM/WITCHER 3, with the amazing combat system of BLOODBORNE/DARK SOULS!
Doesn't need to be dark and gritty. It could very well be cel-shaded with the likes of Borderlands or Drsgon Quest Heroes.
I know they said they wanted to do something else, but I would love for them to explore Europe sometime (think Bladestorm game) - they could do a story about the Black Plague or the Northern Crusades and mix in demons, etc themes. Plus, medieval Europe has a ton of armor and weapon types!
That or do a Greek/Roman mythos themed game.
