Well, it only makes sense. No point in a Platinum or whatever if you essentially had God mode on.

Alexious3697d ago

But many mods don't add any cheats, they just improve the experience in a number of ways.

Fin_The_Human3697d ago

True but an achievement should be earned from how the developer releases it.

I am sure MS can find some way to find out which mods are just skins or background change but is it really worth the time.

Just play the game as is and get all your achievements...once done, mod your next play though.

Never really understood why people put on mods the first time they play a game.

Frisky3697d ago

That's bad. What if I only want a mod because it enhances the gameplay and graphics? I'd still want achievements to be there.

equal_youth3697d ago

Yep, I was hoping for for some simple weapon mods, just an AK or some weapons from F3 or NV for my platinum run.
Hopefully this is only a beta treatment.

Good thing I already got the platinum back in December

Hold_It3697d ago

It's funny that they can disable achievements because someone used a mod, but they can't disable the notorious amount of bugs and glitches that plague their series.

sullynathan3697d ago

Bugs are a feature not a problem

Alexious3697d ago

In Bethesda games, that might actually be true.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder209d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain209d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
