Digital Foundry:
60 frames per second isn't possible on a 60Hz monitor: The most serious problem with this port lies in its performance limitations - currently, we've determined that it simply isn't possible to reach frame-rates matching the refresh rate of the monitor in use. The maximum frame-rate seems to be limited to 5/6th of the refresh rate - this means, when using a 60Hz monitor, the game simply cannot go beyond 50 frames per second. We even tried it with a Core i7 system paired with Titan X running at 720p on the lowest settings, but 50fps was still the limit - and the same thing applies to AMD GPUs too. The resulting frame-time graph sees the game bouncing between 16.7 and 33ms throughout the experience - even with the most powerful PC hardware available. With a 50Hz refresh rate then, you'll be limited to just 43fps. When using a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor, the maximum frame-rate obviously increases, but you can't achieve a level of performance that results in consistent, level frame-times. As far as we can tell, a judder-free experience is impossible at the moment without a patch from Remedy. This is something we've never seen before, but we've reproduced the issue on two different PCs running four different graphics cards.

Before Control Resonant launches, you need to play Remedy's mind-bending Quantum Break, one of the best third-person shooters around.

While there’s likely already a list behind closed doors, one can still speculate and offer logical suggestions for titles new and old that should find their way into the PlayStation and Switch libraries.
Some of these seem to be exclusive for lack of enthusiasm of the publisher rather than because of deals. A lot of cool indies skip ps for some reason like katana zero, el paso, elsewhere and gunbrela
They really think PlayStation fans would want to play Redfall? Pfft.
Personally nothing on that list would be any game I’d want to play.
I’d absolutely love Hellblade 2, Palworld, and Quantum Break on ps5 as I’m sure tons of others would too. There’s nothing wrong with wanting games from another console and its sad that people try to act like they aren’t interested in them.
Sunset Overdrive makes very good sense. Palworld might.
Don't know about the others. Hellblade II does make sense given the original launched on PS4 first. Quantum Break was a massive letdown for me. I absolutely hated the whole TV show thing and I don't think anyone should have to relive that on modern hardware.

Alan Wake 2 studio Remedy Entertainment has reclaimed the rights to Control, and now sci-fi hit Quantum Break deserves the same treatment.
Totally agree with that especially when Quantum Break has several references to Alan Wake and Alan Wake make allusions to QB.
I do believe that MS and Remedy can work things out and MS has usually been nice to devs and publishers regarding IP.
Reclaim? That would mean that they actually owned the ip at one point, which they never did (MS always has). Apples & oranges. Remedy always owned the Control ip (just not the publishing), as they have with Alan Wake.
About as likely as them getting the Max Payne rights from Rockstar.
Sending you game to a publisher does not mean they get "rights to own it " unless that was part of the contract (monetary/ strategic reasons). 505 was the publisher they worked with to publish and distribute it, it dos not mean that 505 flat out "owned" anything, clearly they did have a special arrangement that made them open to limit their publishing rights. and so here we are and big whoop
Yeah get Quantum Break PS5, only if you put it on disc with all the associated movie material.
I mean they got the Alan Wake IP back from MS, so I feel like they could get QB back as well
Rushed port it seems. Tis a shame. It was obviously made for the X1 and then ported over.
The clever reconstruction technique, whilst benefiting the X1 in terms of res naturally doesn't suit the PC that has no real limitations for such a technique to be used in the first place.
"What really stings is that some of these issues could be addressed by the community right now if not for the limitations of the Universal Windows Platform"
MS really need to sort this UWP issue out. Its not fair for the PC to be anchored by a policy that is an after-birth of console restrictions.
Another trash port from MS... This is what happens when MS cares about PC gaming. BTW KI is also a crap port (stupidly demanding for a fighter), I can run more demanding games on my PC without having to drop the resolution and other settings like I have to for KI.
This port makes the Arkham Knight port look like a proper job.
UWP is going to fail like Games for Windows Live did!
So the game doesn't go pass the 50fps mark and we already have people here on N4G saying they're playing it at 1440p and 4K, 60fps on ultra... Bunch of liars, I just love when Digital Foundry exposes all of your imaginary PCs.
UWP is still in very early days and if you check twitter even guys on the Xbox team are helping to fix issues with UWP, it's in the very early stages so for now we should just be grateful that were even getting to play previously exclusive X1 games and just wait on Microsoft to make the necessary fixes
Well it seems that not only is UWP a consumer nightmare in the making but also a limiting development platform. Hopefully it'll die faster than Zune.
Oh well?
