The Sims 3 demo GameSpy enjoyed at the Games Convention in Leipzig took place in a small room furnished with a comfortable old sofa and chintzy bargain-store lamps. It looked like the kind of place a Sim might try to live in. "How many simoleans would that couch run?" they wondered. With the lights dimmed, Producer Joanna Lio fired up the game and GameSpy got their first look at the anticipated sequel.
With an expensive backlog of DLC that it struggles to run on modern hardware, The Sims 3 deserves revisiting.
