Backbreaker represents different things to different people. For some it represents what could be a breath of fresh air from the tried and true football formula of Madden and 2K from back in the day. For others it's nothing more than vaporware that will likely never see the light of day. After spending some time in downtown San Francisco with a controller in hand and a very early version of Backbreaker running on a debug Xbox 360, IGN can say that the forward-thinking footballer looks like it just might be able to live up to its potential.

With Football season upon us, TechRaptors Robert Grosso tackles one of the best alternatives to Madden from last generation, Backbreaker.
Michael, Ray, and the best of the worst for the week of October 14th!

There are many sports franchises that are fantastic editions to the world of gaming, deserving both as an edition to their respective gaming field and to video gaming at large. Other franchises, however, have seen their time. It’s time for these franchises to go the way of the dinosaur before they get even worse than they already are.
Should be dissolved too. The yearly additions are essentially the same except for rosters, schedules, and new stadiums.
I would go as far as to say that most of these games are actually worse than the previous iteration.
Not sure if it will be a good football game but it does look amazing and it looks like what madden should have looked like in 05 when they showed us that cgi madden, then madden released to looking nothing like the video. well so far this is as close to that as ive seen, not 100% in the graphics but animation camera and feel its incredibly close to that video
If its good I will get it. I dont need an NFL license if the game is good and next gen.
