A game like this will definantly attract some casual gamers... I think Nintendo might be a little envious of a game like this because if you saw a commercial for this you would instantly think Nintendo, but it's from Sony!

Does anyone else feel that this game kinda stole some thunder from Little Big Planet? I mean, everyone here is excited for this game, and is talking about getting it for their son, daughter, nephew, niece, everyone in between. With this and Little Big Planet, even yours little ones will be able to enjoy a PS3 soon.

We are beggining to see the range in games from Sony that I have been waiting all this generation for. I'm not saying i'm going to get this one but with the likes of Afrika, LBP and so on around the corner it seems that we are finally getting more than a pile of First Person Shooters again. About time. For reasons like this I loved my PS2.

The way to make this work is to make it more than just a novelty idea.

Make the kids have to feed the creature to keep it healthy, and pet it play with it to make it happy. Make it more like a real pet then just something neat on the PS3.

It would also be nice to see it grow over time and learn tricks, perk up when its owner shows up.

It will probably suffer neglect and die of starvation over time, but hey, you don't have to really bury it.

thank God they didn't copy the Wiimote and innovated with the EyeToy instead. There's just as much (if not more) potential with the EyeToy as there is with the Wiimote, so they should just keep making titles like this with the EyeToy and avoid copying.

Actually the other day when we discussed the Sony announcement wishlist, I asked for some good Eyetoy games since I would probably get one for LBP.

This looks hella cool. I wonder just how much stuff you can do with it and if it grows or forms differently. It should take a Fable approach where it grown up and you can train it to be good or evil. Hehe, my own little Gremlin.

eyepet can change the world

They should of implemented this via Firmware update into the PS3 system as a WHOLE. So you can grow your pet with your Trophy Collection or by doing mini-game activies with it. Also it will alwasy run around your XMB when out of game. Like Digi-pets but more advanced and on the PS3.

Obviously if you have an Eye-toy you can interact directly with it and do additional things, but making it a real part of the system, built-in, would be a much better approach.

Anyone know if this will be sold in stores or on the PSN? I live on an army base in germany so I have to wait a long time for new games to get over here :(

And people that keep saying that Nintendo was the first people to do a pets game thats a lie Nintendogz was not the first pets game on a console or Hand held.

Back when i was 12 there was a game on the PC called Catz and Dogz where u could look after ur pet on ur computer in a house and u had a garden it could play around in they could full in love with another pet and have babys and they grew old u could feed them paint them and do what ever and u could let ur pet walk around on ur desktop when ur useing word or the internet.

I'm gonna draw a house for it lol.

Like i said before Nintendo didn't make up the Nintendogz game they copyed there idea from a very old PC game game called Catz and Dogz. which i use to have for my PC when i was 12 I'm 23 now by the way.

I will give it a try a little old but hey life sucks if you cant enjoy stuff like this for at least what it is worth.
