Pause Resume look at the state of E3 after EAs withdrawal. Why are they leaving their annual space at the LA Convention Centre?

EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands.
When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The free-to-play reboot topped 15 million players in under three weeks, but EA now claims it needs to reshape the development team.
The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers
lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6
Wait,
The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.
NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.
EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
EA's events were extremely boring anyways. No one is gonna miss them with all those boring Annual Sport Games. I am glad they left E3 because most of their event is so damn useless.
Rockstar should take their place and come out this year.
My main problem with E3 is that Microsoft and Sony waste time showing EA, Ubisoft, Activision etc games in their conferences...only for us to see roughly the same thing in the publishers own E3 events.
I get if it's an exclusive like Rise of the Tomb Raider was for Microsoft and Street Fighter V for Sony but don't show us COD, Battlefront, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed when you have already showed roughly the same trailer/gameplay video in a previous conference or even a one you are planning on showing a few hours later.
Sony and Microsofts E3 conferences should mainly be about First Party games with extended trailers and gameplay walkthroughs.
Oh and another thing for them is to stop revealing titles before hand. You know people are going to judge you conference based on surprises so keep your big games until the actual show, the more "wow" moments the better.
I remember the days where you would watch E3 and the 90% of the news was brand new.
E3 was a spectacle to behold in its glory days, unfortunately for those that like such events, the internet kinda made these events obsolete. With the advent of a 24/7 news cycle in all avenues of media and entertainment, the place to unleash new info on games and consoles became less restricted to one annual event as evident by Sony's PSX events and the fact that several times in recent memory info leaks makes the reveal less impact-full than anticipated. Which sucks because, I for one, really liked hearing about a whole bunch of new games from one event, instead of hearing bits and rumblings about new games over the course of the year. made it more special to me.
Just got back from PAX and I think more gaming shows are going local and smaller than E3. More open to the public too, instead of just media. EA dropping from E3 makes me sad, I wanted to see the new PGA game and some other things.
All kinds of sports haters here, remember everyone has different interests. Don't be a stuck up gamer, just respect everyone has different choices..not just your own.
in the begin it was cool , all these studios had a place to show their wares . Now literately they all have their own spaces so why not take advantage of such .
