Dragoon writes, "Forced Showdown by indie developer BetaDwarf is a unique mix of rogue-like and deck-building game elements. You select a hero and build a deck of cards containing spells, equipment and supporters to help you face a series of randomly generated arenas until you reach the final showdown with the boss monster. It’s a unique concept that has had a successful Kickstarter campaign so there’s definitely something there to make people think it is worth investing in. This isn’t BetaDwarfs first rodeo, having proved themselves before with their title Forced, so let’s see how this new offering is shaping up so far."

A slew of games have been packed into bundles for Steam users, all at incredibly discounted prices.

EB: Forced Showdown was just straight-up fun, I don’t know that it was absolutely the most innovative game I’ve ever played, but I thought that it spiced up a lot of ideas that have been used and I have to commend it for that. If you like fast-paced twin-stick shooters with deck-building and RPG elements, then i highly suggest checking this game out, because it is super cool and super fun.

During his coverage at PAX East 2016, Wes got some time with Forced Showdown. Wes liked the look of the game as well as the action and strategy and said there is a big fun factor to the game. Wes also mentioned that the game becomes repetitive quickly and may be a challenge to hold a players interest long term.
