Developed with pro gamers’ wishes in mind, the Xbox One Elite Controller is the current pride and joy of Microsoft’s gaming division. Boasting a $150.00 price tag, the customizable accessory comes in at close to half of the price of the console it combines with, making it one of the most expensive first-party pads in gaming history. Said price also makes it a contentious piece, given that many feel that paying so much for a single controller is absurd. However, as we’ve discovered, there’s definitely a market for such a thing, as stock has been limited since its release in later October.

"Your current -- and pricey -- Xbox Elite 2 Controller will not be able to take advantage of the new Share button and related functionality found on new Xbox controllers, including those that ship with the Xbox Series S & X," writes Stevivor's Steve Wright.
Why on earth would you want to use the button that maps everything as the share button anyway?

Amended class-action adds additional plaintiffs and specific mention of Elite Series 2
I was wondering if something was up with these controllers. I have a friend that had multiple Xbox controllers with drift issues ... Seemed like more than just bad luck
I haven’t had any drift issues. My elite 1 controller grips did fall off-but it’s still playable.
Even my Switch is fine.
Can it be one of the assemblies that they contract out that makes them be the issue?
At this point I feel lucky.
Never had stick drift using 7 different Xbone controllers over the course of 5 years. Unless I screwed them up myself which I did once by leaving one upside down with some clothes on top of it.

The Digital Foundry review of the Microsoft Elite Series 2, what we believe is the best Xbox and PC controller on the market.
I don’t care what anyone says, wayyy too much for a pad. The margin has to be through the roof. $125 max. To each their own, people spend on what they see value in. I fail to see that much value.
It is the best controller ever made, so yes!
It is definitely worth the purchase price.
But its not worth the argument when I try to justify the price to my Mrs.
So I don't own one.
Yet.
Defintely worth it. You are paying for quality, customization, precision, built, hair triggers, 250 saves profile with able to use 2 profiles per game, 4 customizable metal peddles, sensitive adjustment to triggers and analog sticks, and can use it to play awesome games on both XB1 and PC. 100% recommended if you can find it.
I am going to say I bought it skeptically not knowing how much better they could make the controller, but I don't know how to properly describe it, it just feels incredible in your hands. There is no doubt in my mind it is the best controller ever made. I haven't even found a use for the paddles yet. It just feels good. It's a little heavier but super responsive, the grips are super nice, either D pad you can use is great, the triggers are outstanding. It's amazing.
Now whether or not the "greatest controller ever" translates to $150 is purely subjective. Is this controller $85 better than the standard? The Forza and Lunar White controllers are really good and the closest to the Elite because of their grips. I think a lot of people would be satisfied with those if they couldn't bring themselves to making the plunge for the Elite.
But for me, I don't ever want to use another controller. I'm already in the market for a second for my second Xbox One, I just want to wait and see if they release it in another color. I love it and I don't think anyone will regret the investment.
Regular xbox one controller and ps4 controller is so light compare to this bad boy. And I love it!
