Destiny has inspired developers to rethink how a shooter came be made and for the upcoming open-world game Tom Clancy's The Division, folks have drawn parallels between the two titles.

It has been ten years of the franchise and a celebration is planned.

It's been almost 10 years since we first stepped foot in Ubisoft's extraction shooter, The Division and it looks like the developer will celebrate by giving fans a chance to replay the experience in "definitive edition" form.

from paulsemel.com: In this exclusive Q&A, the author of the new technothriller based on "Tom Clancy's: The Division" discusses how it ties to the games while also bringing its own story to a close.
Excited to play this. Actually happy it is not out quite yet, too many good game right now.
His response was about as basic as it gets.. the setting is different, well duh! I just hope Ubi have learned from Bungie's mistakes with Destiny and actually release a fully fledged MMO. As good as Destiny currently is, it has always felt like a half baked MMO to me where they borrow from MMOs but never fully develop the features outside of the gear grind.
I think Destiny is just the easiest comparison, like the author said near the end there. I can agree that the "grounded in reality" stuff is really cool and adds that gravity, especially how it's a scenario that's plausible. I love the idea of christmas decorations being left up, and NY being spooky when empty. Still very excited for this one, and hoping to see that Ubisoft sparkle again - which coincidentally I'm seeing a bit of going back to AC Syndicate.
Ubi servers sucks.. they're not doing great in Rainbow Six.
Honestly, despite the graphical downgrade, still looking forward to this game, it has potential.
