New Xbox One Experience background PSD template

Major Nelson:
The option to use a custom image for your Xbox One background has been available for quite some time, but now that the New Xbox One Experience is out, you might find its time to update your existing background. I asked the Xbox design team to create a Photoshop .psd template so you can easily create your own great looking custom made backgrounds for your Xbox One.

Anyone graphically inclined that can make me a custom background?

Wikkid6663859d ago

Don't really have to "graphically inclined". Just find an image and make it your background.

The template just gives you a better idea of how it will look with out much trial and error.

Ooh need to remember this for later.

Game news Live Discussion No Mans Sky delays/New Xbox 4k Scorpio/Ghost Recon Badlands

Here is our weekly discussion regarding the latest gaming news. Join in the conversation and leave a comment. This week we discuss No Mans Sky and the rumoure...

Slanty3665d ago

Great video.I think a new Xbox coming so soon is a pretty hard on the kids, but can see why they are doing it. The Xbox one is getting owned by the PS4.

GametechUK3665d ago

Yea it really does seem that way, all they have to do is chuck some money at the problem, release a more powerful console and they win. But does the consumer?

Eidolon3665d ago (Edited 3665d ago )

If it's 4K option, such as for movies and some low graphical games that can be handled in 4K by the current hardware, it's mostly hurting consumers with 4K televisions(since they'll curse MS for releasing a 4K option when they just bought the current Xbox One, now they have to buy another), it's an option since the current hardware is incapable. If it's an upgraded GPU/CPU, then It's bad for a lot more consumers and most developers. If NEO comes out too, this won't help their sales either.

BossBattle3665d ago

Xbox One will have 3 versions in all. So people can pick which console fits their budget. I'm going for the high end one and maybe the cheapest one which will be for digital games only.

Fin_The_Human3665d ago

High end for me too my budget is $499.99

GametechUK3665d ago

Good to have the options i suppose

BossBattle3665d ago

@Fin_The_Human I doubt the Scorpio will be that cheap from the rumoured specs. I'm willing to pay $799 at most.

GametechUK3665d ago

Thanks to everyone for watching and commenting. Means it was worth the time each week to put this together. JASON

You mean ghost recon wildlands? Lol

blackout3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

It's called choice. That's been Phil's MO since he's taken over. I'll take choice any day. If X1 is not powerful enough then there's the PS4 & Neo, If those don't float your boat then there will be The X1 Scorpio, and if that's not enough then there's PC. Seems to me all basses covered. Everyone gets a piece of the pie. I'm ready to upgrade, what about you?

New Xbox One Experience: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Gadgets 360 says: "Nonetheless, it's not perfect. Sharing content isn't as easy as it should be and ads on your home screen are still a questionable inclusion. However, much like a steady supply of exclusive games are important to keep existing console owners piqued, the update cycle and turnaround time in transforming the Xbox One's dashboard with new features and additions is slowly becoming as important. The level of support is heartening.

With that in mind, the New Xbox One Experience is a step in the right direction simply because it has succeeded where it matters most, keeping us optimistic about the console's prospects in the months to come."

the OS is less stable, some apps crash more. Movies & TV app full of frame rate issues on every video. No more monthly leaderboards among friends.

gamer78043857d ago

@disagrees. Which part in what I said is not correct? It's not an opinion, just stating facts

jcole973857d ago

The part about the leaderboards was true. Everything else, not so much. Mine works fine. Maybe you need to reboot your console.

stiggs3857d ago

It's only a fact from your perspective...which technically makes it an opinion.

stiggs3857d ago

"frame rate issues on every video".

I haven't experiences any of these frame rate issues. In the early builds a few of the apps (Showtime) crashed consistently but these problems have been rectified.

Maybe there is something wrong with your system.

Rob Hornecker3857d ago

I feel your pain to a extent! I agree on missing the monthly leaderboards

The thing that gets me the most is that this NXBOE is NOT what they made it out to be at this years E3. Where is the interlaced invite friend to party and/or game while you still playing your current game?
That feature doesn't work for me....or is that way for everyone?

Having the xb1 since a week after launch and a xbox and xbox 360 for years I feel that the NXBOE is a step backwards in being user friendly compared to the 360 and old xb1 dashboard.

vikingland13857d ago

Only issue I have is it takes too many steps to share game clips. Other than that I like it.

I love the new UI all the things I use are one button away. My only problem is achievements always opens in snap and I can't remove games from the ready to install list

jcole973857d ago

Go to your profile and open achievements from there.

jcole973857d ago

Never had a problem installing xbox 360 games.

Can't sign in? Blank tiles? Here's a list of known issues with the New Xbox One Experience update

Microsoft has released a complete list of issues some Xbox One players may experience after downloading and installing today's New Xbox One Experience update, including problems associated with signing in to your Xbox Live profile and tiles appearing blank in My Games & Apps.

While the issues may not affect everybody, Microsoft admits that it was unable to "fully polish" the NXOE update in time for today's launch, which could lead to problems for some users.

Each known issue can be resolved, however, so there's no need to panic about the update bricking your console. At least not yet, anyway - we haven't yet seen any reports of the console causing any major issues for players.

Whats the point of we preview members pointing out these bugs and glitches if they never even bothered fixing it. I must've reported blanked tiles about 7 times int he program!

It's to be expected with how Microsoft launches everything. Look at the xbox one now compared to day one. They tossed it out the door and started raking in money while they continued to build it. Day one had terrible party functionality, no controller battery meter and tons of other things they added later as "exciting updates"
