Fallout 4: Low and Ultra Graphics PC Comparison

LetsGoPal: "Fallout 4 has finally shipped and many fans beforehand expressed their concerns on the graphical fidelity of the game. It seems that the concern has piped down. Now that the player base can actually play the game and see for themselves, but for the people with less fortunate computers teetering on the interest of purchasing Fallout, we’ve put together a graphics comparison so you can get a bearing on what the game will look like on your computer."

I'm using a 560ti Zotac 1gb and I'm playing on Ultra Settings right now. It runs smooth. You don't need to upgrade. If you want proof just ask.

I'm able to play on high at 1080p with my i3 4130T and 860M.

As long as your GPU is similar(the 860M = about 750 ti with 2GB) you'll be fine.

I'm curious what fps you are getting because it auto set mine to high. An I have a 4770k oc'ed to 4.4ghz and a GTX 680 MSI lightning.

Pathogenic3859d ago

I'm getting a solid 60fps. Sometimes in certain areas it dips below to 45fps. I'm expecting a patch in the next to fix most of the FPS issues. Check on steam they have a walk through for 60fps. You can even lock it down with 60fps if you want.

KaylaFair3859d ago

It's surprising how well the graphics look even on the lowest settings.

UltraNova3859d ago (Edited 3859d ago )

Hate to have to break it you but its because scaling up from low to Ultra doesn't make that much of difference.

Perjoss3859d ago

Playing with everything maxed and the game is beautiful, he environment never gets boring as the different weather conditions combined with different times of day create a really varied colour palette.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot206d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder206d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain206d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
