From the things I've heard about this game, seems like a fair score. Nothing is new, it's Fallout 3 again but this time with more colour, fewer options and slightly better visuals.

Of course I love Fallout 3 so that's not a bad thing to me, but the hype for this game is too much I think. I'll know for myself tomorrow though.

"but the hype for this game is too much I think"

I dont, its been a long time since as gamers weve had this sort of good hype for a game!!

its only been what 6 months since announcement and release date - we dont get to experience that anymore!

Fallout 4 should be a lot like fallout 3 and new vegas respectively. Judge the game based on its immersion, story, content, and depth. That's how you review a bethesda game.

I've played about 3 hours (i have to work or id still be playing) and as of right now there is way more in it then fallout 3. There's armor modding of every peice left and right arms and legs, chest. Then there's modding your guns barrel, trigger, grip, magazine, sight, and that was just a pistol. You can mod each part of your power armor. There's chemistry for making drugs and health items. Cooking. And don't forget being able to build not only a building but an entire settlement. There's old school video game holotapes you can play. And that's just the tip. Good shit i promise.

i guess theres a few critics who didnt care for this one.. Seems like all of them are upset with the power armor consuming too much fuel.. I know im going to like the game regardless so im still getting it.. Not going to play until they patch it up though

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder189d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
