Scalebound new information at Gamescom

One of the major absences of E3 was undoubtedly, Scalebound, the new game created by Platinum Games exclusively for Xbox One. Since before the start give E3, Microsoft has confirmed that games for the European event would be kept between them, the expected Scalebound, Crackdown and Quantum Break.

Now with just over a month ahead to start the Gamescom 2015, Platinum Games warns us through Twitter and through its Web site, the new creation of Hideki Kamiya will be present in the old continent.

Can't wait! I suspect a release date will be announced by Platinum at Gamescom.

RiseofScorpio3981d ago

Hopefully Spring. This Quantum and Recore will be dope in Spring.

The cgi trailer was very interesting, if they can pull it off in gameplay this game will be huge.

For me this looks like the most uninteresting xb1 exclusive in concept . I Know lets make a dragon game lost me straight away hope gameplay can win me back I just think its the Kmart of mythical creatures

He's been begging for the past three years. That ship has long sailed. Besides, Phil's a fake. When's the last time he delivered on a game the fans asked for? Still waiting on him to greenlight KI4.

@8bit
Yeah I mentioned that below. Although in comparison concord was a bigger failure.

MetroidFREAK21449d ago

I mean I'm all for it... I'd buy it for PS5 since Xbox is doing these multiplatform releases now

MetroidFREAK21449d ago

Well, I vastly prefer physical versions of games, and I can't do that with my Series S... sooooooo assume what you will

Lexreborn2449d ago

Scalebound was my reasoning for buying and Xbox one. Legit my biggest let down last gen

raWfodog449d ago

Same here. That was going to be the game I'd buy a Xbox One for back in the day. It'd be good if they did revive it and improve on what they had at the time.

Chocoburger449d ago

Seems odd to be asking for it now that he left Platinum Games. He'll be busy with Okami 2 for a number of years, does he expect to develop the game at Clovers studio now? Would they be picking up where they left off, or starting over again? Any of the previous team members, or just him?

I doubt Phil would fund it again, but if so, then that would be good news, also fund a new Banjo as well as Conker games while you're at it. I miss Conker!

Michiel1989449d ago

doesn't seem odd at all, he'd want work and that game even though it suffered some bad press with the cancellation and stuff is still something that people want to see (i think)

Can someone like SEGA offer to buy the studio at this point?

BlaqMagiq1476d ago

Even if they buy them, they'd be buying a shell of a studio at this point. Almost everyone that mattered to the studio is gone.

CrimsonWing69476d ago

Never a good sign. They lost Hideki Kamiya, which was arguably the top tier of their talent list. So, seeing this is like the writing on the wall. They got Ninja Gaiden 4 coming, so hopefully that’ll deliver and keep them going.

PhoenixRising37476d ago

Hopefully this doesn't affect Ninja Gaiden 4 too much.
