Looks like you didn't even read it. They fired him to segue their way out of paying him, damaging their credibility in the case since he also has a recording of the "special incentives".

I fell sorry for him

how will he put food on the table!!!!!!!

I dont care if he was an ass.

At least MS should hire him for his loyalty to them right??$!???!?"

Drekken6506d ago

Thats probably why he got fired. His ignorance.

Wildarmsjecht6506d ago

oh please, food on the table? He's been making games for years, has been in the spotlight for those years and was ONCE an important man in Tecmo. I think he'll be fine.

zapass6506d ago

no arrogant rockstars left behind!

but you got a point: he's getting old, pompous, and this industry is moving very fast

va_bank6506d ago

That's because Tecmo couldn't figure out how to properly word the sentence "fired for being an arrogant, unprofessional and disrespectful d*ckhead"

go back and read the article again then edit your comment.

Get a clue.

If your not going to bother reading an article, don't bother commenting. It's a waste of space.

TO THE MODS:

Sorry my post had to be deleted. I didn't know that word wasn't supposed to be used - you should add it to your filter. I'll be more careful next time.

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman28d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
