All cross gen games suffer this same fate...

Let's not be entitled here. Fallout 4 could've run at 0p/0fps. You know why? Because it didn't have to be made.

Let's be grateful it even exists, whether we like the visuals or not.

This trailer has tickled me in all the right places. Going back to new vegas on my ps3, i was dumbatruck on how bad it looked but i had soooo much fun playing it!! This game looks great and im sure my skin will grow onto my seat when i play this for hours on end

I kinda like the fact the graphics look ok for now. From now on, it can only get better. I remember Uncharted 2 graphics were improved from the E3 trailer. Bethesda can actually do the same and deliver their graphical vision without being called out for downgrade later. Many devs should do this as well

People will never be pleased. If they showed a CGI trailer full of bullshots, people would be crying for *real* gameplay footage.

People forget how bad Fallout 3 looked? I'm just happy I can play a new Fallout game. Less bugs would be nice though Bethesda. I don't mind the graphics, but please work out those bugs / glitches.

I agree that the graphics in the trailer look inferior to other PS4 games. It looks like early-middle PS3 era graphics. But that is okay. People in their right mind don't play video games for graphics anyways.

I wonder if they are cutting down on the graphics so that they can provide a lot more expansive content?

People saying it looks ps3 level are crazy and need to look back really hard at Bethesda's games on ps3/360 which didnt even run that well .

With that kind of open world and sandboxes , it wont go above GTAV and dragon age Inquision in graphics on ps3/360

We finally get Fallout fukn 4, and the one thing you meerkats pull away from it is the graphics. I hate the gaming community. It's not the gamergates or the DLC problem or the broken games that will ruin the industry. It's the gamers themselves, one way or another.

They are, there's prettier 360 games let alone PS4, but luckily graphics aren't everything.

It had ps2 graphics, that's unacceptable. It doesn't need super graphics, just needs visuals that don't make you go "this is ugly".

I'm more concerned about the frame rate.

If they have to tone down the graphical detail in order to get a solid frame rate, then I'm all for this.

I'd take a further downgrade if it meant 60fps on my system of choice.

Give it more time. Im sure the games visuals will be current gen adequate. We were warned about this generations graphical leap would seem marginal. Its the little things that are making games look better. For example, Thick foliage swaying in the wind, water effects like rain drops pattering the ground, awesome lighting techniques etc.... From Infamous 3, to GTA V PS4 edition to The witcher 3, none of these games wowed me, but the more I played them, the more I appreciated the work that went into them. I have no doubt that Bethesda has a handle on this. Keep in mind to that Fallout 3 and Skyrim were also vey ambitious games, that were probably created with next gen technology in mind. Look at how many glitches those games shipped with. Imagine how clean those games would play on a PS4 or an Xbox1. Forget you PC gamers. You can keep laughing at us console fanboys

Fallout's graphics have never been good. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas looked terrible last gen. I guess it's more or less about the feel you get from the world itself.

Just went back and watched the trailer again in max resolution. Sorry to say, but the visuals look crisp. The dog seems to lack a fur wffect, however, the games still in development and also, some games that are using this effect like in Far cry 4 almost makes the animals look more fake. I know its a tiny sample up to this point but go back and watch it a coue of times and you will see the graphicals are very good.

I will reserve my full judgement until I see more and I can actually play the game. To me, the graphics aren't a big deal. They're not perfect, but they're not bad either. It's not to the point where it hurts my eyes or anything. It's just right I think.

No amount of graphics could have made me enjoy the last offering .

Graphics are ok, they look like Last of us and Rage, for a game that big i think is enough.

Since when has Fallout been about the graphics? It's really the art direction that matters. If the graphics bother you so much then just don't buy it. Or wait for visual mods for the PC version. Not to mention this is the first look we've had of the game. The graphics will probably be more polished from here to release date.

They may well be aiming for 60 fps 1080p on the consoles, and anyway who cares the game looks good it has a unique style which the other fallout games had, if the game is full of content and hours of gameplay then it's done exactly what people want from it. No one buys a Fallout or ES game for amazing visuals.

A trailer comes and it's instantly compared to the Wicther3 and Dragon Age, whats the problem? we have 3 great RPG's there, why have one good game when we can have 3?

Bring back freedom with magic (even if exploitable it's fun). Bring back utterly bizarre and memorable characters (starfield felt like theirs were designed by a committee of wet blankets). Bring back actual consequential player choice ie different classes and guilds/houses/etc that can't all be done in the one playthrough. And update or replace that damn engine for more seamless streaming/traversal so dungeons, towns and buildings aren't segmented separate levels. And for the love of god don't dare do that shitty dialog wheel and voiced player again

Starfield could have become an (Xbox) megaseller and critically acclaimed milestone in the Sci-Fi genre.

I would have never let them work with CreationEngine 2 for that, but scrapped it completely.

the Fallout 4 Anniversary edition is a JOKE.. way too expensive.. and its broken.. Bethesda is a joke now..
