"Check out these settings to get The Witcher 3 running fluidly on the PC."

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

The latest revenue report from CD Projekt Group shows Xbox only made up 10% of sales for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in 2025.
Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂
Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.

According to Polish podcasters Rock and Boris, CD Projekt RED is reportedly planning a third DLC for The Witcher 3, set to release in 2026.
Sign me up. I haven’t played it since it released on PS4 so I could go for another run with a new DLC.
you need a 970 or above to achieve 60fps, so my GTX 780 is only good for 30fps apparently. What a load of crap
It's no load bud, that's why I stopped playing PC games and went to consoles. Seems like a better idea to play up to snuff gaming on your couch, big screen with good surround; rather that drop $300 every time a game comes out to upgrade the old rig.
Keep your Mac/PC up to date for production use and browsing and buy a console every 6 years. The graphics get progressively better as developers figure out how to squeeze every last big of juice our of the systems.
Just look at Mobile suit gundamn or Resistance (ps3 launch games) compared to The last of Us on that system. Always felt like Mac/PC developers just throw whatever they can at the hardware expecting people to upgrade every other title. That in my opinion isn't a sign of development savvy. Savvy?
Bought Witcher 3 on PS4 last night. Its a laggy pile of trash unfortunately and unplayable imo. It look amazing, but whats the point if every time i turn the camera its studders like crazy. I ejected the game and put it back in the case. I'll only play again if/when they fix it. So disappointed =(
Great guide. Thanks for writing it!
On my system (i7-920, 780 Classified, 12gbRAM), i can play the game at 1080p on ULTRA settings (no Gameworks) at around 45-50fps. If I turn down the Foilage Visibility Range to HIGH, I am right at 60fps give or take 2-3fps. Turning a few other settings down to HIGH brings me up to the 80s but not needed. I figure that my CPU is a bottleneck here also.
How's everyone else doing?
