Eurogamer:
We've already established that the PlayStation 4 version of DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition offers a palpable upgrade over both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, with 60fps gameplay moving Ninja Theory's last-gen reboot more closely into line with Capcom Japan's origin titles. In addition to the faster, smoother gameplay, native 1080p visuals also deliver the welcome boost in sharpness expected from a title running on a current-gen console.
However, despite the undeniable upgrades, we also came away a just little disappointed that the PS4 version doesn't quite manage to deliver the solid 60fps gameplay easily achievable on the PC - something we expected from the level of hardware on offer inside Sony's console. So the question is, can the Xbox One version iron out the kinks found in the PS4 game and hand in the 'definitive' experience we are looking for from a current-gen remaster? Or will its less capable GPU hand in a less stable experience?

Fanatical has updated its Platinum Collection bundle with new games, and there are now 19 Steam Deck-compatible titles up for grabs.

DmC: Devil May Cry launched 10 years ago to critical acclaim, but caused a significant stir amongst fans of the series.
Ah we're at that point in time where failed games end up being needlessly defended and pushed as "underrated" or "gems"
There's a reason this caused Capcom to go back to the traditional DMC franchise.
DMC V became the top selling game in the series by a longshot. Even the team was more eager to make a new DMC game rather than try and continue the DmC reboot/spin-off and listened to fan input for V.

Daniel writes: "DmC on Xbox One may have disappointed many, but it also provided an entry point to a previously impenetrable series for newcomers."
It sold poorly it’s why we have DMC5 instead of DmC 2 and from what I’ve been seeing of that Anarchy Reigns clone from Team Ninja I think it was for the better.
i do not agree with that fps analysis...
the fps drops were damn near identical, i dunno how they came to that particular conclusion.
about the AF, i dunno why devs choose to omit it the ps4 version
it was missing in dying light too which was added later via a patch, so it cant possibly be lack of appropriate hardware..
it is truly bizarre when something like the order has some the best AF out there but a cross gen port has texture filtering worse than the last gen versions.
maybe on the ps4 sdk its not as simple as pushing an ON button and the devs simply ignore it?
since its neither taxing/complex nor hardware restricted, ill just have to assume that some devs are being lazy.
I'll Probably be getting this one on XBO.
Weird with AF, is this the third game from capcom that has weird AF issues on ps4? Other games run AF just fine on the ps4, I wonder if there is a bug in the SDK.
if its any game then alot of the times ps4 wins hands down but it seems ps4 tends to do crap on ports
