Frontier became the acknowledged leading developer of Tycoon games for its work on the RollerCoaster Tycoon® franchise, particularly its development of 2004’s c.10M unit-selling PC game RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 which is still considered the benchmark of the Tycoon genre, more than ten years after its release.
Coaster Park Tycoon, scheduled for 2016 release on PC, is intended to raise that benchmark for ‘Tycoon’ gameplay even further by combining accessible creative features with a sophisticated simulation.
Although the recently revived Atari has recently revived the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, it hasn't quite been the same. Original developers Frontier are looking t change that.

I've not even touched all the scenarios on the first game, let alone it's expansion packs and I've been playing off and on since it's release.
Such a great game that still plays well.
Being that the original creators are involved, this has me pretty excited.
Hopefully it feels like a true RC game.

Will be keeping my eye on this! Loved the roller coaster tycoon games, and although I wasn't a fan of 3 I understand that it was held back by the technology of its day.
I guess frontier seen how bad RCTW looked, they felt they needed to do us justice by creating a new Theme park tycoon.

From what I heard, that trailer of RCTW was last years old, which they showed at pax or something, IDK.
