I prefer PC, because of various reasons:

1. Better for competetive play(Counter-Strike Global Offensive, StarCraft 2, Dota 2, Hearthstone)
2. Steam(nuff said)
3. Mods
4. 144hz monitor > 60hz TV
5. Easy accessibility. I can game on it, watch movies, surf on internet, listen to music with ease. Waiting for a server to load? Fine, go surf on internet while you are waiting.

Oh I also forgot one huge thing: Emulation of older consoles.

Easy. PC anyday, just because it's flexible and can be utilized in countless areas (office work, making music, art, biofeedback, research ... just to name a few).

If it's for gaming only - it gets harder to choice due to convenience and exclusives.

in my opinion it's a big responsibility either way and I don't see an article can really help anyone, pretty much you have to just go on your intuition.

Kind of like a few years back i thought i wanted a 360 to go with my ps3 and i got it, but after like 3 weeks i felt like it wasn't right for me. That was easy because it's just a system, but what a computer there's a lot more to go into setting it up and i even was thinking about getting a gaming pc, I'm happy never did because that's a lot of more money not being super confident about wanting one, where with my 360 I just gave it to my sister. I couldn't give her a gaming PC lol

Both. Consoles for their exclusives, and PCs for third party games.

They both have good exclusives but some pc players ruin the online experience by trying to hack the game or using cheats online

I like consoles for their exclusives, easy of use, and they are more convenient for couch co-op play but I perfer the PC more due to its flexibility, cheaper games, better performance for games, better backwards compatibility, the online with longer lasting communities to support the games and more multiplayer games to play, better features, and ofcourse pc has great exclusives as well.

Both. But If I had to pick one it is a PC. Most games are available on PC and they look and perform better. Plus you have backwards compatibility. Also as said above, it can do much more than play games. Most games I play are multiplatform as of late as both consoles have not really had any must have exclusives yet in my opinion.

PC all the way. Up to 4k gaming, better detail and steadier frame rate.

If you can afford it you will actually save $$$ in the long run. Steam sales go unmatched and they are constant. Plus the amount of great indie games you can't find on a console.

PC is just so much more versatile. You are not restricted like you are with a console especially if you want to upgrade your hardware to improve overall system performance.

Here's my offer: have both and have the most fun available. If you're a budget gamer though, go for PS4.

I always owned consoles, got first PC in 2000 never looked back, still own consoles but PC always my main gaming platform, plus games are so much more cheaper than they are on consoles.

I'd always go with console over pc just because I feel that having a Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4 will allow me to play more big name blockbuster exclusives and the same multiplats I can play on pc.

Both are different. PC for RTS, MMORPG and hearthstone. PS4 for RPG and shooters.

I like how playstation now will eventually allow you to play playstations entire back catalog for a decent price. So backwards compatibility isn't really that big of an issue with the PS4 at the moment. I think they both have their advantages but if your lazy, I'd probably stick with console. :)

If you are big fan of RPG games like Elder scrolls,fallout, witcher etc definitely get PC but if not then console is fine.

As a console gamer I fully acknowledge that PC as a platform is superior to consoles, I just dislike the whole "Masterrace" concept.

I'm new to pc gaming and I love the flexibility it has.I just got the alienware alpha base model and it runs a lot of games better than the ps4 including nba 2k15.I took it to a friend's house and we compared it ourselves. I think these steam machines are gonna give these consoles a run for there money.

I have my reasons to continue playing on consoles when PCs are obviously more accessible to play than before.

It depends on a couple of things IMO.

- Convenience: 'Plug and play' vs. 'hardware/software management'

- Input and output: Console gaming rather resolves around the living room with game pad/remote play, while PC gaming is more of an 'office situation' with mostly corded devices.

- Level of enthusiasm: A high end PC is without question the most powerful gaming platform, but hardware is expensive. (Long term software cost are comparatively low however)

- Game library: This is what it essentially all boils down to IMO.

Remark: IMO, with the exception of the Wii U, the latest iteration of consoles are quite strongly leaning towards what is essentially a PC with encased OS. That is a bit of a shame IMO.

PC's indie scene is what actually got me truly enjoying games again.
Console still focuses far too much on the "AAA". As far as I am concerned, AAA has been pretty stale, for the most part. And for a while now.
The games I am interested are almost always available on PC as well so, yeah.
I guess Nintendo skews that a bit. Then again, the Wii U is the only current gen console I own at the moment.

I would have to say consoles for me. Its all I know. That being said, I always looked at PC gaming as the next step up for me. Hopefully I'll get to build my first rig soon.

I have a ps4 and a PC. While I have console gamed for most of my life, I prefer the PC , the obvious reason being you can get higher frame rates, but another important reason for me is the controls. Due to a limited number of buttons, certain actions need to be consolidated under a single button, there's no such limitation on PC. And of course shooters always better with a mouse, no things like aim assist.

If only the devs could develop games for the consoles to also use keyboard and mouse, the line would soon disapear between console and PC gaming. There is no real reason with the way the consoles are designed with their PC like design, that they cant have games like League of legends, or world of warcraft available on the consoles. this has proven effective with games like warthunder, and final fantasy 14 a realm reborn, even games like diablo 3.

I think it's only a matter of time before game devs like riot and blizzard realise how many people out there have a PS4, or xbox one, and can't afford a gaming pc, and these players like myself(i do have a gaming PC as well) would rather hook my PS4 up on my desk, plug a keyboard and mouse into it, and play games like league of legends or world of warcraft. i can't be alone, there is deffinatly a market out there for players like myself. if you ask me, riot and blizz are missing out on lots of micro transactions and subscriptions.

I prefer PCs however I also own consoles. PCs aren't expensive to build and you don't need to pay $500 for a decent video card like a lot of people think. Once you have a decent PC built you can play for years. I don't bother with multiple monitors or ultra high resolutions. I have a 1920x1200 monitor and it's perfect for me. The cheaper prices of PC games makes it a very cost effective gaming platform.

Great that PC is where you can really push the boundaries of gaming..

.. but with it you have to be prepared firstly that you got spare money to spend and accept the constant hardware upgrades if you really want to experience the best out of your PC.

For me presently, console is still the way to go. It's only mostly the games that you need to spend money on and maybe a few DLC's, with some ( or a few gamers' a lot ) on accessories.

Oh I'm sorry. I was too busy modding skyrim and minecraft to get In on this convo.. I thought about the exclusives. But I can wait a couple more years for price drops. But for now I can still play evolve, dying light, arkham knight, titanfall, etc. Add a wii u to this and you're all set.. oh and in response to the haters. Evolve is 45 dollars on green man gaming lol.

Good timing because ive always had consoles but im looking at a gaming pc now since my laptop broke but i dont have the space in my room. I dont want to get another laptop so i might have to sacrifice what little space i have left.

console for convenience only. I just want my game to work without having to adjust anything. My preference, but I think having too many hardware and software configurations is a bad thing for me.

Both ,of course,if i could id have them all,XboxOne ,wii U,ps4,and a freaking well built rig,it´s on my bucket list thou...soon i hope.

PC for sure. Consoles are ok but their simply isn't a biggest enough selection of games. Tired of waiting months for an single exclusive.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
