They are working on a Star Wars game with Amy Hennings. The writer of uncharted so that is my most anticipated game from EA alongside Dead Space 4. Visceral are a real talented studio, hopefully one day they get away from the shackles of EA.

rdgneoz34142d ago

It could be a great game. Hennigs has made some amazing games, just hoping EA doesn't try to force it out before it's ready.

jb2274142d ago

Totally agreed. Dead Space was easily my second favorite franchise (behind Uncharted) last gen. Storytelling & environments as well as diversity in play style was second to none really. Can't wait to see if they can continue that trend of quality in the sp campaign for Battlefield Hardline & having Amy Hennig on board for their Star Wars game can only be a good thing. They are easily one of the best devs working these days in terms of creating entertaining & compelling sp stories, I'd personally put them right behind Naughty Dog. Love to see them expanding, hopefully EA doesn't mess them up for the time being, that would be an utter travesty.

Due to rumors and job listings, its been more or less confirmed both Visceral Games and Bioware are working on Star Wars games thanks to EA's new contract with Disney to create Star Wars games

DarkOcelet4142d ago (Edited 4142d ago )

Steve Papoutsis said he is working with Amy hennig in making a new Star Wars game along time ago so it's not a rumor. And he also said they were friends in college days so thats cool, they will get along easily.

I want a Dead Space going back to it's roots.. 1 was awesome, 2 was decent enough but was paving the way for the abomination that was 3.

chrish19904142d ago

Ahmen brother! Recently picked up Dead Space 1 and 2 on steam after playing the third one at a mates - they really did a number with Dead Space 3, so much money grabbing.

NukaCola4142d ago

I think DEAD SPACE 2 was the perfect mix of Action and Horror. DS3 was complete trash. Dead Space was still the scariest, but it was much more survival horror than it's sequels.

We need a Dead Space multiplayer like in 2. That was dope as f***

Fizzerd4142d ago

Ohama was the codename for Battlefield Hardline, look up the leaked developers trailer.

BassMan1254142d ago

Is this article real? This is idiot in every level.

Visceral isn't working on Star Wars Game, DICE is.

And Omaha was the codename for Battlefield Hardline, it's on the trailer before E3 2014.

chrish19904142d ago

Did you read the article? BF hardline is mentioned, and according to the visceral wiki theyre working on an "unnanounced star wars" game.

TheOneWhoIsTornApart4142d ago

I Wonder if they are ressurecting that Darth Maul game or maybe 1313. Either way I can't wait to find out what it is.

chrish19904142d ago

I seriously doubt its 1313, but maybe some elements might make it into whatever they're up to. But yeah, agreed, as a massive star wars fan I'm looking forward to it, hopefully something along the lines of Bounty Hunter mixed with uncharted.

Wingsfan244142d ago

It's not new news that Visceral is working on a Star Wars game. Bioware, DICE and Visceral are all working on the Star Wars property. And Omaha was the codename for Battlefield: Hardline. So, not only is your title of the article misleading, the information in your article is nothing new. Sorry, but that's that. Do some actual research into what you report on, because as of right now, it looks like you're literally trying to be another Dualshockers and nobody wants that.

chrish19904142d ago (Edited 4142d ago )

@pockyking - are you numb in the head?

The article does contain new information, the fact that a game called 'omaha' has been rated is big news. Battlefield hardline wouldnt be rated under the name 'omaha', it'd be rated under the name it would release under ie Battlefield Hardline.

Edit: also mentioned in the article is the possibility of it being for a beta, though it seems unlikely.

So maybe you should think twice, or more if it helps, before slandering somebody.

As for being "another dualshockers" that is totally off-point. The Games Cabin doesn't run a racket on here, unlike them who approve their own stories and manipulate the system. Please feel free to continue this discussion in private by all means.

Wingsfan244142d ago

Lol, personal attacks. No, a game would not have a FULL rating description if it was something new. They used the codename for the game instead of the actual title. The ratings board wouldn't have a fully detailed rating if it was a new project, it would say Rating Pending, not MA 15+. They have to review a game in full, meaning play it, before they give that rating. That's kinda common sense bud.

Visceral is working on a Star Wars game so is Bioware. But the code name Omaha was the code name for battlefield hardline. This article is trash.

Dead space was terrilbe and this new game will be terrible

EA Lays Off Staff Across All Battlefield Studios Following Record-Breaking Battlefield 6 Launch

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee73d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
