Hoe many times do gamers have to scream they don't want dmc before cap on will listen?

Summons754173d ago

Actually gamers did speak. Low sales and constant criticism about the broke glitchy game. We clearly did speak and all Ninja Theory did was insult all gamers and Japanese developers.

Yi-Long4173d ago

DMC was a very good game.

Not sure what all the hate is/was about. Played it because of PS+, enjoyed it, didn't finish it cause my HDD crashed and didn't have a cloud-save, heard about the Definite Edition, and will probably pick that up from the bargain bin some day, and play through it.

MrSwankSinatra4173d ago

Reminds me of Square and Final Fantasy XIII. Gamers kept saying they hated FFXIII and yet Square gave them two more XIII games.

Final Fantasy XIII-4: Lightning Forever

U don't speak for me. I want DmC.

Summons754173d ago

Just buy the DMC4 remake instead. That's what I plan on doing and continuing to pretend this game doesn't exist.

Tony-Red-Grave4173d ago

I plan to get both because their both GOOD games. I like that NT fixed alot of popular issues DmC had in the way of combat. In DMC4 capcom is FINALLY acknowledging vergil and hopefully it fixes the plot hole that is nero.

CrimsonDragon904173d ago (Edited 4173d ago )

Then your not doing a good job, pretending the game doesn't exist if you go to every news related article about DmC and bash it lol And who are you to tell people what they should and shouldn't buy. I plan on buying both DmC and DMC4.

What about DMC4? I really liked the original Collector's Edition. I'd love to see one with a Nero/Dante statue.

Orpheo4173d ago

I'll buy the collector's edition re-master of DMC4; I won't be buying the re-master of any version of DmC.

Skate-AK4173d ago

Think it is a Day One edition. Not a collectors
edition.

Roccetarius4173d ago (Edited 4173d ago )

Seems like they're desperate to sell more copies of this, if they're doing a collector's. But it's no surprise, since it was a financial failure. Maybe it's just too much to ask for, but it should show we want Japan's touch in the game, and not some average developer making a outsourced game.

DmC: Devil May Cry - So Good They Named it Twice

DmC: Devil May Cry launched 10 years ago to critical acclaim, but caused a significant stir amongst fans of the series.

SDuck1232d ago

all in all, it was the 2nd most replayed by me (first being dmc5)

Godmars2901232d ago

Named it twice cause they lacked imagination.

ApocalypseShadow1232d ago

No matter how many times they try to push this game, I'll never play it.

But the PR keeps pushing it and pushing it when other DMC games are better and sold better.

TheLigX1232d ago

Lol that’s absurd. You must be a real charmer.

Sgt_Slaughter1232d ago (Edited 1232d ago )

Ah we're at that point in time where failed games end up being needlessly defended and pushed as "underrated" or "gems"

There's a reason this caused Capcom to go back to the traditional DMC franchise.

DMC V became the top selling game in the series by a longshot. Even the team was more eager to make a new DMC game rather than try and continue the DmC reboot/spin-off and listened to fan input for V.

CBaoth1232d ago (Edited 1232d ago )

cue the puff pieces for Ninja Theory. Like what we saw happen with Deathloop and Tokyo, the MS marketing team is starting the hype machine early. So we see the revisionist history with their past games. Suddenly it's the best in the series lol. They've never made a bad game, they've just never made a successful one. Now, right or wrong because of the timing, their new game has the extra pressure of being the face of GP in 2022 alongside Starfield and Redfall. A lot of pressure for a studio that made its last game with 30 people. Let's hope 4th time's the charm

It sold poorly it’s why we have DMC5 instead of DmC 2 and from what I’ve been seeing of that Anarchy Reigns clone from Team Ninja I think it was for the better.
