Interplay purchases Freespace IP from THQ and Volition for $7,500

Polygon - Interplay Entertainment Corporation, publisher of Baldur's Gate and the original Fallout games, purchased the Freespace intellectual property from THQ and Volition for $7,500, according to a court document filed on June 4.

Does Interplay still exist? I thought they tanked a while back.

They're available DRM-free on GoG for $5 each.

Though you really only need to download FS2, since you can download the enhanced mod versions of FS1 and Silent Threat for free from hard-light.net once you've installed FS2.
