I feel like I'm the only person who hasn't had any problems with this game. No framerate slowdown, no crashes, no falling through the ground or getting stuck in hay carts. So far it's running just fine.

The story itself is broken

How could there be minimum 300 things wrong with this game and no one noticed before release, because that is just unpossible.

Let's release the game anyway even though its not finished. We'll have the embargo be the lunch time of release day, so no one will cancel their preorders or know how broken the game is before release.

We'll promise a better game next year, and dupe them again... More money for us right?

Here's an idea, let's speak with our wallets. Don't preorder, and stop giving developers money for under delivering. If we wait a week then choose to buy, this kind of release may be reduced. Most games make the bulk of their sales on the week of release, and sometimes on preorders.

Let's hold back. This may force them to release a better product, and we may get burned less.

Serious question:

Are Ubisoft really put lots of budget and people for this game? Because they always boast hundreds of people working on the franchise but the quantity of technical errors really mindblowing.

EA, Capcom, Squaresoft, and now Ubisoft.

Seems like when a company gets to the point of becoming legendary, the somehow end up crushed beneath the weight of their own hubris.

I actually haven't played it much, had it since launch because my brother decided to buy it for me O.o

I have been playing more Far Cry 4 though, haven't encountered any problems in that game. I just feel Ubisoft are taking on too many games, especially for the size of their team.

In AC4, I have encountered a few problems, not sure what others have found, but for me it's:

Random NPC falling through floor.
Frame rate drops.
NPC's textures change, so I will see someone completely changed to a different character.
I've had NPC pop ins and pop outs.

The Saint Chapelle one as well. It was a bit of a pain, especially knowing it was timed and it would just drop frames and mess you up a bit.

I wouldn't say it's a bad game, but it definitely has issues. When I have finished FC4, I will go back to Unity and hopefully they have worked on it a lot more.

Bah... i'm very sorry for all those beta testers that bought the game paying full price. Ubicrap to the maximim power! Because of a "money shortage" i didn't buy it or i'd be among them ;P i'm waiting for the price drop, i hope they fix it meanwhile.

Love the game now, most of my bug in my game is fix.For me it was saving that killed it fo me ,the first 6 hours down the drain.

It's the generation of delayed or broken, and in some cases (Drive Club): both.

I am getting this for christmas. Do you all think it will be free of bugs and glitches by then? Oh and am getting gtav and fc3 :)

I'm a huge fan of the series I've bought each one release day and played for hours once I started. This one was so bad with bugs and gram rate I beat the prologue and refuse to continue till it's fixed. Guess I'll play black flag again.

Half of all the people bitching about how 'broken' the game is probably don't even own the game.... It's hate.

Well damn they must've had 5 year olds as their QA team. This is unacceptable.

I'm still not sure why people are overwhelmingly berating this game.

It's open-world. It has bugs.

This has been an issue with open-world games since their inception. I haven't encountered anything game-breaking, and frankly, I find visual glitches to be funny and charming and I rue the day that such glitches exist no more.

I am currently playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, a game that I have experienced considerably more bugs with than Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Yet I've seen maybe 1 article about DA: Inquisition glitches for every 100 about AC: Unity glitches. Whilst playing DA:I, I've experienced exactly one "severe" glitch, which was a game freeze. Whilst playing AC:U, I've experienced one "severe" glitch, which was also a game freeze. If we want to get into glitches of all kinds, DA:I wins by a landslide.

Did any of you play any GTA games starting from III through the recent V? Has anyone played an Elder Scrolls game? A Fallout game?

You'd think this was something new. It's not. I think we should just be glad that these kinds of games exist. We can explore entire cities and worlds that we otherwise would not have anything to do with. We should be lauding this technological accomplishment rather than nitpicking every flaw.

Hell, even our real world is laden with problems, ones that actually affect us. These real-world problems can't be patched at all, yet we get by.

So just relax a bit and remember that games are about fun. I can't imagine how so many people claim to be fans of a hobby that they do nothing but complain incessantly about.

But but but we swear it worked perfectly when we went gold.

Ubisoft - the EA of the next generation. So glad I don't support this company as all they are about is regurgitating the same game every year, bullshotting, downgrading, "micro" transactions ($99.99) to open a chest is just ABSURD! and trying to deceive customers (review embargo 10 hours before the game launched)

300 bugs? What level of quality are they comfortable with when then send a game out? I'm really blown away. They have legions (quite literally) of programmers so this should not be acceptable to them.

Still getting ce-34878-0 on PS4. Shame really, I was looking forward to playing it last night. I tried the offline workaround, that doesn't work. Looks like I might get something else whilst this debacle is ongoing.

@Starchild @Bossmon I'm happy you two don't seem to have the issues that the majority seem to be having. It must be nice to have working games, when the rest of us don't. If you are not having issues, then why come here? To gloat? ...or maybe you are just working for them or the site, trying to make people believe that there are no problems? I bought a PC copy AND an XBOX ONE copy, and they BOTH have the same issues, except my XBOX ONE does one better...it freezes and crashes every 25-26 minutes of game play. The graphics are all over the place, from women walking around with their dresses above their heads to guy's hair stretching about 10 feet in every direction from their head. I had an issue right in the very beginning when you are chasing the Assassin, when you try to jump down and chase him, you fall through the ground EVERY time. Plus, whenever I tried to climb walls, I'd always get glitched at the top, and stay there until a random passing guard would decide to use me as target practice. Sounds like fun to me. And don't even ask about the online function. It was even worse. Now I'm stuck with over $130.00 of software that is yes "broken", as in NOT COMPLETE...missing parts. It needs a major overhaul before I'd ever consider it playable.
