VR vs. Gear VR Launch

VRFocus - It appears that things are finally falling in place for the launch of Samsung’s Gear VR, a new virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) that runs with the company’s Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. The kit is due to arrive in the USA in a matter of weeks, launching in early December 2014. Even with the delay of just under two months, that’s a remarkably quick turnaround from the reveal of the device back in early September 2014. That said, Gear VR isn’t set to have the most straightforward launch. There are a number of factors that make it something of an unknown quantity at the moment. Just how are things shaping up ahead of release?

I saw today some guy is doing a kickstarter, if he can raise the cash he will spend 1 month with a vr unit attached to his face as an experiment, he will wear it all the time including when sleeping.

I typically like to jump into new tech, but I'm susceptible to nausea when 3d is not done right I'm gonna have to wait for reviews.

I can't see games being good on a phones specs but maybe for movies? I'm not impressed with 4k movies vs Blu rays so maybe GearVR is better.

Already have the Note4 so if games end up being so much better then $200 seems reasonable.
