Bourne dev would put Matt Damon in next game

The Bourne Conspiracy developer High Moon would welcome putting Matt Damon's likeness in future Bourne titles, despite his opposition to the level of violence in the first game.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com in an interview published there, director Emmanuel Valdez said that the team wouldn't turn down the opportunity to scrap their current Bourne in favour of a Damon-authorised likeness if the movie star changed his mind and approved such a move.

"If Matt Damon picks up our game and really loved it and calls us up and says he wants to be in it I don't think we'll baulk at the idea," Valdez told VideoGamer.com.

CyberSentinel6537d ago

What a hypocrite, "I will make a violent movie, but not a violent game".
Screw him, the franchise does not need him. Save your money Sierra/High Moon, we don't want him. Real recognizes real. Matt Damon ain't real.

Games We Wish We Could Forget

Karl Dodds, Brian O'Donnell, Buddy Acker, and Karam Elahi from SpawnFirst write up about some gaming experiences that they'd rather forget: "As gamers, we generally like to experiment. Whether it be impulse buying a game you know nothing about because you saw it in your local game shop and it caught your eye, or, playing a game critically praised you just can’t get along with, we’ve all experienced these personal duds. So in the same vein as our last feature, I threw this question out to some of the SpawnStaff team: What is a game you wish you could erase from your memory for good?"

Speaking of Homefront, shouldn't we be seeing the sequel from Crytek soon?

The Matrix: Path of Neo.

Horrible. Just horrible.

Razputin4379d ago

Dude, that game was amazing, the story was odd, but the combat was wonkily amazing.

It was like a really really early alpha build of what Batman's free flow combat would end up being.

deathtok4379d ago

Sorry! I meant 'Enter the Matrix'. I never played the follow-up.

snarls2004379d ago

thankfully i never played any on the list

Well Homefront and Duke Nukem Forever were day one purchases. In fact, DNF was a preorder. I enjoyed both but Homefront could've been so much more. Hopefully they pull an Assassin's Creed with the sequel.

Transformers: War for Cybertron Preview - WorthPlaying

WorthPlaying writes, "How do you make a Transformers game that doesn't suck? According to the developer responsible for Darkwatch and The Bourne Conspiracy, you do it by making a good game first and then layering on the characters of the Transformers second. According to Matt Tieger, game director at High Moon, the main reason other licensed games have failed in the past is because they always focused on the license to the detriment of the actual game."
