How about we just judge game protagonists by the quality of their character and personality instead of their outward appearance?

CorndogBurglar4215d ago

I would totally hang out with E. Honda. He seems like he knows how to have a good time.

Justindark4215d ago

Honda is not really fat look at the muscle's on that dude lol

I think this was satirizing the gender issue.

(I think the author agrees with you.)

Kenshin_BATT0USAI4215d ago

We can't do that because that WOULDN'T be shallow and apparently we have to be shallow according to GameBloggerPros and SJWs

BitbyDeath4215d ago

I think your confusing fat with curvy.
Nothing big and beautiful about the obese.

Spotie4215d ago

I think you're pushing cultural preferences as facts, rather than the... well, the preferences they are.

And I say this as a skinny guy who loves tiny women.

WeAreLegion4215d ago

Used to be fat and still approve.

Also, I don't think people are reading the article.

IxWoodstockxI4215d ago

This article is stupid. "We need more fat protagonist." LOL no we don't. A fat protagonist in Alien Isolation would have died in an instant. A fat protagonist in inFamous would run out of breath the first 15 meters he runs. A fat protagonist in Dragon Age wouldn't fit in his armor or be able to defend himself from enemies. Being fat would make the game dumb and unrealistic.

Roccetarius4215d ago

Yeah, i don't really get this either. It's not exactly a good thing to aim for.

BiggerBoss4215d ago

Id say the point of this article went right over your head

Kakashi Hatake4215d ago (Edited 4215d ago )

None of what you said is true. You just have a negative biased view towards fat people. Also, videogames are unrealistic. You think unlimited sprint in COD is realistic? No one said make the character 600 lbs and immobile. Someone around 300-400 lbs is sufficient. Being fat has nothing to do with cardiovascular fitness. How do you think football linemen do their job? Look up American sumo wrestler Kelly Gneiting. He's over 400lbs but he conditioned his body for cardio. He swam an entire lake and finished 3 marathons. I doubt you can say you did the same. http://m.idahostatejournal....

I think me and my supercharged rascal scooter would make a wonderful addition to the next Gran Turismo OR Grand Theft Auto.

Even more importantly, with the graphical power of the current consoles, there are finally enough polygons to do justice to my rotund glory.

Concertoine4215d ago (Edited 4215d ago )

Rapidly alternate triggers to eat.

Rob a gas station, aggressively ask for "da dough", then when he hands you money explain that you want the cookie dough.

CorndogBurglar4215d ago (Edited 4215d ago )

I think Gran Turismo or Grand Theft Auto are too realistic.

You and your supercharged rascal would fit perfectly into a Mario Kart game though. You could spray old french fry grease out of the back of your scooter and make other players lose control.

jjb1981159d ago
