A role-playing game may be a shot in the arm that the Tom Clancy brand needs. Matt Martin talks to The Division’s Rodrigo Cortes about loot, grinding and levelling up in real-world New York.

It has been ten years of the franchise and a celebration is planned.

It's been almost 10 years since we first stepped foot in Ubisoft's extraction shooter, The Division and it looks like the developer will celebrate by giving fans a chance to replay the experience in "definitive edition" form.

from paulsemel.com: In this exclusive Q&A, the author of the new technothriller based on "Tom Clancy's: The Division" discusses how it ties to the games while also bringing its own story to a close.
When I think of RPG, I think of Quests. Would be nice to have objectives to complete in this game online.
I just hope they deliver on the tremendous promise this game showed at first reveal and has continued to show along the way. If it goes full Watch_Dogs, it will be such a disappointment. And that is not to say I didn't get enjoyment from Watch_Dogs, rather I was expecting a whole lot more interactivity from the hacking aspect they played up. The premise of The Division is very cool, I'm just not sure how they are going to pull it off.
I'm still waiting to see how much freedom the player is actually given. Are we guided through the map or is the map open and available to explore?
I'm gonna cry the first time I get ambushed by players and they loot my gear.
This is the only game I'm looking forward to by Ubisoft. I missed the watchdogs hype, thankfully. Trying not to hype myself up with this too much.
Although I'm betting once you win a match, an area will be unlocked and there will be a panoramic sweep lol.
