Nevermind Dev not 'Opposed' to PS4 Version with Morpheus, Explains Xbox One Support

VRFocus - Indie developer Flying Mollusk is currently pushing hard to raise money for its Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible horror experience, Nevermind. The title has secured funding to release on PC with support for Intel's RealSense camera to track player's heart rate but also hopes to come to the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) and Xbox One with Kickstarter funding. What is mentioned in the Kickstarter campaign is the possibility of a PlayStation 4 version with support for the Project Morpheus HMD.

Interesting. Going to have to keep my eye on this one.

Supporting Xbox One and PC first? You mean no legendary tales of the dreaded parity clause? Wow...

SniperControl4230d ago

Think that parity clause only applies to Sony and Nintendo, lol.

tracking player's heart rates? Hope that won't be the coolest thing about this game

Ra30304230d ago

I agree.... My though was a game built around a heart rate senser.....sorry not for me. I thought the Xbox One crowd already spoke about the Kinnect cam and in turn the heart rate senser and they didn't want it? Yet a dev has kickstarter up and going to get money for a new game for it? I'm guessing they threw out the Sony VR info in an effort to get as many excited and give money as possible and when and if they hit their goal then that'll be the end of the VR and PS4 talk. Very clever if true. But sorry I already gave at the office!

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2132d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
