Star Citizen has received way too much funding (150 million +) for not having a solidified release date. If Star Citizen doesn't release it will be one hell of a scam.

How long has this gone on? People have given them enough money to finish the game, finish another game, and start 3 businesses.

Any people here that backed? I'm quite curious to know your honest opinion. I remember when the campaigns started and everything seemed like a good deal to me. The presentation part was always spot on and everything seemed so genuine. I was a student and short on cash so didn't invest in this game. Throughout the years I saw more and more expensive packs and I couldn't understand how they couldn't do anything yet with 30 million dollars. Then at one point I remember it was around 80 million and thinking it would release soon. But the way they are going this is gonna take either another 5 years at least. Or it's one of the biggest scammes ever in the world. We're talking about an unbelievable amount of money that only one game ever costed this much to develop (GTA V)

As sad as it is to say but backers deserve this, they've essentially funded this scam, it seems only fitting they lose their right to a refund.

Good graphics, but empty nothingness gameplay.

The development team knows they can get away with never releasing this game and they can keep taking money from gullible because people are still dumb enough to fall for this scam.

The backers made their bed with the most arrogant developers I know of, and now they have to sleep in it.
After the kind of things both the developers and backers have said about consoles, I have zero sympathy for them.

You put a mountain of cash in front of someone with no oversight and eventually they will get greedy.

This game is one massive scheme. Also glad I never bought into the bs promises.

Crowdfunding is a con job in my book. Amateur devs slush funding cash into their private "hookers and blow" fund.

If it ends up a scam, looking forward to watching the documentary on Netflix.

I paid $30 for the game and a ship. The game comes with the single player campaign and open world. I feel like I got my monies worth by the time it comes out...

Sorry, but I think this is a completely misleading article. The court case it referenced has nothing to do with a "no refund policy". Completely bogus title.

No idea why anyone spends a dime on Kickstarter. It's all going to come out that was a scam and all the millions were funneled to banks in Venezuela and only a little was used to make fake trailers!

They should have worked on one branch of this game, made it good, shipped it and added on features like how WoW did with MMOs. They have become a joke and really tarnished most fans enthusiasm. I remember considering saving up for the then rumored 1070 years ago to play for the launch of this game. Good thing I got it as a gift and it was back when it was only $15

Chris Roberts has a history of missing deadlines when he had appropriate oversight and someone else's hands on the purse strings. It's nice to believe in what Star Citizen represents... It's another thing entirely to believe it's going to happen. Only the people who funded this stick up for the game and its developers... But guess what? Plenty of people swore Bernie Madoff was making them money. They should have been able to complete 7 games for the money they were given(not even including the loans they've taken out). Sorry guys you've been duped and the money has been stolen. I guess we should give props to Roberts and crew because they found the easiest scam loophole on the planet... Kickstarter.

I can easily wait for the game(s) to come out, watch some Mixer/Twitch streams and decide then, if I want it all. But the way this develops, its gonna be a Gaas type game, so let's wait and see.
