Seriously the problems with BF4, they should be giving away map packs to cheer ppl up. They have lost alot of customers.

Good. Postponing a game to make it better is something EA needs to be willing to do. I'm going to let EA know I think this is a good decision.

Lol yea they know that they'll get curb stomped by Advanced Warfare. Activision is going to totally dominate EA this year with Destiny and COD.

I guess I'm the only one who has the suspicion that the delaying of the game has nothing to do with actually "fixing" it.

Sure, they'll take the extra time to polish, but i bet the game still launches with 99 problems.

I think the real reason they delayed is because they couldn't take the heat. Too many great looking games coming out over the Holidays and not many people want to spend $60 on content that a lot of the community feels could have been DLC. Releasing it during a drought period of 2015 would increase purchases of this game.

"Early 2015" has a number of games coming out too (The Order, Witcher 3, Batman:AK...) but I can't name a single FPS.

Smart move, if they released it this year, it would be drowned out by Destiny/COD/Halo imho. Extra time to polish it will hopefully mean a more stable product on launch too.

Not a big deal this game isn't nothing but a BF4 re skinned. But it's good news for people that have a lot of games to buy in the crowded holidays.

Should just cancel this DLC and plan Bad Company 3 instead.

I rather take their time to polish their game instead of launching a buggy mess.

I honestly don't know anyone in my ps4 or ps3 friends list that are picking this up. EA has gone and set up visceral for failure.

It should've either released in 2014 or be delayed until 2016. 2015 would not be a good time to release a game like this with bigger AAA titles coming out in the same year (and likely around the same time).

To me translation goes "Destiny is blowing us out of the water, people are not pre-ordering our DLC, so we delayed it."

Sure they have improvements and new ideas, but the main reason is that october is a realy overloaded with games.

This is really good news because, as much as I like the concept of the game, it really didn't feel that different to any other Battlefield game, which it definitely should have.

Here's to hoping they can improve it and change it enough for it to be a step up for Battlefield.

OMG really!!!! NO??? I'm not into games like the ones coming, dang...2015.. I'm sick,. Have to change my preorder now. Makes me want to sell my systems 4 n 1.. Madden n battlefield is the two biggest games for me in 2014...

I was never gonna get this game. Looks like a $60 DLC. Just because it's delayed don't mean it will be a better polish game. I think EA realize going up against COD will crush Hardline.

I mean this in no way to downplay the hard work and tremendous effort that these devs put in, but publishers really need to start being a little more careful with setting release dates. I know it often is unavoidable to delay these games, and I will take a late product that's complete rather than an early one that's not...but seriously, name a AAA titles that hasn't been delayed ( I know there are a few, but c'mon).

I mean at least give us a "window" and not an actual set date, only to push it back by months and even years. Ubisoft is by far the worst offender, BTW.

there are so many games coming out in october to the end of the year, that i'm glad they are holding this one back. work out the issues, release 6 months later, give my wallet a break.

Game looks like an exciting last Gen game.

While they probably did this to avoid another BF debacle EA is also trying to avoid low sales as Hardline would've gotten smacked by bigger & better titles during October/Holiday release window.

this game just looks like a dlc pack for bf4, how much more time could they need? i hope they consider making killcams, sorting out the rubber banding lag & actually making it look different from bf4... thats too much to ask i guess for a £50 game

Maybe they're working on story mode, they hate doing single player anyway so this game's story might have been a bit TOO neglected.

Haters gonna hate, at least they're admitting it needs work ( I'm looking at you COD )
and they're making sure it's more than just an expansion pack
( again looking at you and your last 5 years of expansion packs COD )

Can totally understand why they would push it back they're still reeling from the Simcity BF4 fiasco the BF3 launch fiasco the Titanfall launch fiasco they need a solid launch for once this millennium Im pulling for them but I don't see them pulling one out but my fingers crossed.

They need to just make it a DLC for Battlefield 4.

Beta was horrible, and the game looks like BF4 dlc.

Also Destiny is going to be an absolute Beast when it launches...(already is in beta form)

Great game. Gunplay was the absolute best ever too. And loved BB2, 4, 5.

Hardline really would have had a better chance if it became it's own IP

That's a shame. Hardline is one of the best Battlefield campaigns.

Never touched the game, I own it and plan on playing the story, but that's about it

Hardline actual infantry fps gameplay was at its time the best battlefield had ever been. Before it was slow and clunky. This game lacked the vehicle combat and some of the more explosive destruction but it was still a really fun game.
