Gaming media be like: psshh what do devs know?

Cerny did a brilliant job with the hardware. I'm not surprised at all that developers love the console.

And yet most of their games gets delayed.

And i don't believe the "we can add much more to the game, that's why we delayed it!" BS

Normal. PS4 was built mainly for gaming. The Xbox One was built like a media center that could run games and where Kinect 2.0 is the cutting edge tech.

Not surprising. I'd be shocked if it wasn't named the best.

It sounded like Sony spent a lot of time talking to devs to find out what they wanted in a console. It's what led to their GDDR5 decision, for instance.

So now that's paying off

I gotta say as a ps4 owner im really proud of sony coming from their ps3 launch they did a freaking great job. Deserve all the praise lets hope they keep it up guys

I would say PS4 wins every category except the ones that are of people's own opinion. Those would really be excluisves, and controller design. Ps4 still has more exclusive franchises and really a more innovative controller though, but still, people have opinions.

Neither console is better. They both have no games and are damn near the same spec wise. Sony is just looked as the better company because they don't try to pull the same bull on gamers like Microsoft does, which is the reason people suck Sony's d!ck all the time

As a owner of both every time I play my X1 and then use my PS4 I realized how PS4 is overall the better console. (Just my opinion) Everything about it is just simple and sleek from the Dualshock 4, to the tiny design of the console, to the simple interface. I love that console and if Sony brings the top critically acclaimed exclusives like they did since PS1 then this my go down as my favor it console ever. I love my Xbox One it's a beast also , they both are but the PS4 just does everything better for me. And for you it may be the other way around, you might think the X1 is a better console and that's ok it's your opinion. Congrats to Sony all I have to say is just keep up the exclusives like you always did in pass generations.

Lol duhhh. Hopefully this is sony returning to their glory days. Ie ps1/ps2. I really wanna fast forward like 2 or 3 years to see what old franchises they bring from the ashes.

Sony set up their current success after learning some painful lessons last generation.

Last gen, with the PS3, they had incredible hardware...that was incredibly difficult to develop for.

This gen, before even writing the specifications, they TALKED to the developers and LISTENED to what they wanted. This resulted in a console with a more powerful GPU, and 8GB of GDDR5 memory. They made their development tools easier and more intuitive to use. They also ACTIVELY reached out to "indie" developers, and put in place policies that made it FAR easier for small studios to publish their games than on the competition's console.

The end result is the most powerful console on the market, with the most games. Those two lead into them having the highest sales...since Sony focused on making the best GAME CONSOLE they could at the $399 price point rather than trying to take over your entire living room and loading the console up with expensive gimmicks.

Anyone surprised by Sony's success this generation (or the competition's abject failure) really just hasn't been paying attention. I could have told you that this would happen when both consoles first launched. It was pretty obvious Sony would have the advantage once both consoles were unveiled.

PS4 eased development environment compared to the difficult architecture of the PS3 shows a complete reversal, and a company that has both it's eyes and ears open.

theres hardly anything good to play on it, not to mention that even the best selling games on ps4 dont even reach half of the userbase, what did we buy this ps4 for again?
