Well, at least they officially declared which side they're on. =P

sunnygrg6574d ago

Bubbles to you, I was initially wondering what you were saying.

lessthanmarcus6574d ago

1. Quick Time Events - Yeah I gotta agree, that's boring.
2. Nonsensical save points - I don't get it, are you FOR or AGAINST save points?
3. Mandatory Installs - I'll take it for the lesser load times, didn't seem to be a problem when it was PC games
4. Exploding barrels - I agree, but it doesn't bother me
5. Unlocking characters - Sorry but I love unlocking things and completing challenges
The rest are just stupid and not even features, terrible article

RebornSpy6574d ago

2. He is for save points, just not ones that make no sense or are poorly placed.

3. This is a personal preference, I guess. On my PC, I can only install a few games before I run out of room. Maybe it's because my computer sucks. If it were more of a problem, there would probably more complaining than from this pro-360 site.

5. He means that he doesn't like unlockable characters in multiplayer games, where whoever has unlocked the better stuff has an advantage. I'm not sure whether or not I agree with that one...

I agree with your other points, though. It's a decent article, just very opinionated. Of course, all stories like this are...

Gun_Senshi6574d ago

Quick Time events are great when implemented correctly like in Resident Evil 4, God Of War and some Heavenly Sword.

Being a PC Gamer I know the advantage of installing full game so I do not mind installs on Consoles.

In reality barrels with petrol do NOT explode when shot

Breakfast6574d ago

In reality barrels arent littered everywhere you walk...and they are not strategically placed, where your enemies might be.

omodis4206574d ago

I don't care what anyone says. The quicktime cut-scenes look bad ass.

Silellak6574d ago

QTE are fine, as long as failing them doesn't result in instant death. That's just overkill, and it becomes a frustrating exercise in trial and error.

MK_Red6574d ago

WTF? In the "Console exclusive" features part, GameDaily explicitly advertises for 360 and says that because of better online and such, they're gonna buy the 360 version.
I'm not gonna debate wether they're right or wrong about the console of choice.
The thing is that it's completely unprofessional and effed up to even write like that. Seriously, the little respect I had for GameDaily is now gone.

crck6574d ago

But you see it everywhere in the media right now. Has anyone listened to the Hotspot podcast on gamespot? They basically have 4 360 owners on there every week. Which would be fine if it was a 360 podcast but its not. It really is pretty sad. I dont think they are being bias but its pretty obvious they don't have any interest in the PS3. All 4 were playing GTA 4 on 360 so no one could give an opinion on the ps3 version. One guy said once he'll be playing GTA for a while because no good games are coming out until Too Human in August (Hello! MGS4) None of them knew SingStar was out a couple of weeks ago but they mentioned the release of a XBLA game in there "new games out this week" segment instead.

Honolulu6574d ago

I find it amusing that he indirectly/involuntary states that he doesn't know jack sh1t about fighters with that SCIV bullepoint he wrote.

Also, I think my IQ just dropped by reading that stuff.
Is it me or is it a trend for inexperienced gamers/gaming journalists to try to influence the hive mind of random gamers nowadays with daft opinions?

wth, Why can't I write "sh1t" properly if it's my honest opinion? this is the internet, not Kindergarten.

Silellak6574d ago

Do you guys really think the media is still bias against the PS3?

Every other article in 2008 has been about how 2008 is the year of the PS3 and the 360 is ready to curl up in a corner and die.

JD_Shadow6574d ago

Have you READ Kotaku, Gamespot, the Bitbag, Eurogamer, Edge, or the blatant ad for the 360 in this article lately? Not everyone is for the PS3 to fail anymore, but the ones that are are getting amplified so much that it makes you think that everyone is somehow.

So far the intelligent things from that article was about mandatory tutorials and realistic games ... otherwise ....

There is not much wrong with QTE .. games that fails with it are game that abuse it , especially for bosss , and here we got a game that almost use them all the time without being tedious and failing , like bourne .

I dont remember much seeing barrels misplaced ... i sure dont see them in streets , and if you do i bet the games involved got far more problems than that .

The author also doesnt get the appeal of multi unlocking . For party games and fighters it's actually a quite simple and small competition , like ahah "i got everything before you" .
Even further failure when part of the appeal of games like Jump superstars is to unlock your

heroes .

Hideo Kojima put Low Roar in Death Stranding because gamers need more culture in their lives

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.
