Battlefield Hardline Coming this Fall

Steve Papoutsis (Vice President and General Manager, Visceral Games) "On behalf of everyone at EA and Visceral Games, I’m fired up to confirm our next project – Battlefield Hardline. The game launches this fall and it’s a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise, set against the backdrop of a genre we all love – the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals."

BF: HL hmmm I'm keeping my eyes out for this one!

ArchangelMike4391d ago

I might actually pass on this one...

lets_go_gunners4391d ago

No pun about sharingans....I'm disappoint.

hellzsupernova4391d ago

Very disappointed given who the Uchiha were and how they were the police force of the hidden leaf.

Iceball20004391d ago

HomerDog4391d ago

Sony (meh) probably going to announce another delay. WHERE ARE THE GAMES SONY. I PLAYED THESE INDI GAMES LONG ENOUGH.

hellzsupernova4391d ago

You could've just listed them instead of going full fanboy, never go full fanboy

sinjonezp4391d ago

Wondering how will they handle this one. I hope they develop a good story along with multiplayer that "works".

btw guys, off topic. I will be raffling off a brand new ps4 to help a good cause. If anyone interested PM me.

Can't even fix the previous game and you announce a new one?! Thank you EA.

creatchee4391d ago

I hope Xbox uses Azure servers and PS uses Sony servers because EA's are pretty bad.

torchic4391d ago (Edited 4391d ago )

this is Visceral, not DICE. they are employees of EA and so it is their obligation to work on the development of video games. not sure why people feel as though DICE's mistakes need to impact other studios as well.

Qwagy UK4391d ago

I'll wait 6 months after the release date before picking up this up, by that time the game should be playable!

TheSsus4391d ago

Please, no SP. Just do what BF does, great multiplayer.

one2thr4391d ago (Edited 4391d ago )

So I guess thats it... No more Bad Company... No more hoping for it, I suppose... :,(

Agent20094391d ago (Edited 4391d ago )

They come up with a fresh, promising concept. What's wrong with that?

one2thr4391d ago (Edited 4391d ago )

Never said there was anything wrong with it, nor was I insinuating it.

As for the disagrees, its either they(disagree-er's) didn't like Bad Company OR they believe I have given up hope too easily on there being a Bad Company 3, because of BF:Hardline announcement.

And again, none of what I said should have been taken as a negative comment towards BF: Hardline, Im interested into seeing more about this game, and Im more than likely going to buy it once it releases.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz14986d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee98d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

lodossrage132d ago (Edited 132d ago )

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein132d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator132d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1132d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

ZwVw132d ago

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
