MAG Studios has revealed a new bundle for their forthcoming Ghostship dual release. Set to launch this year both CDF Ghostship and it’s successor Ghostship Aftermath are available to pre-order as a single package, along with a number of additional bonuses.
Gale writes -"As the developer mentioned numerous times, Ghostship Aftermath is not a first person shooter. Why not? Well, disregarding the first person perspective, you won’t be running and gunning much, really. Ghostship Aftermath focuses on the atmosphere and overall dread instead of combat, and with good reason. Your character has only a limited amount of time at hand, courtesy of the decompressed ship and small oxygen tank. Also, since you’re wearing a huge, bulky suit, your movement is severely limited. "
Ghostship Aftermath is, as the developer puts it, an atmospheric sci-fi horror survival game. In fact, it tries to take fear to a whole new level by offering support for the Oculus Rift. Given the small amount of games that support virtual reality headsets, it’s safe to say that Ghostship Aftermath is, in a way, also a proof of concept.
VRFocus - Originally released for standard monitors, MAG Studios has today updated its first-person survival horror videogame, Ghostship Aftermath, with support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). The update arrives today as was promised by the developers earlier in the week. The title was designed for use with VR, though saw a release ahead of the support which has helped iron out a number of bugs.
