im sick of the cpu pulling my players back in the goalie box and nothing gets called or the ridiculous fouls the CPU gets away with and i get yellow carded for shoving ....

ProjectVulcan4492d ago (Edited 4492d ago )

The CPU definitely has serious unfair advantages in the game. It's like the old rubber banding on racing games, everyone hates it because it is so obvious, artificial and cheaty.

The amount of behaviour the CPU gets away with on the harder modes is pretty annoying. They can pull, shove, trip, tug and tear your attackers arm off and not get a foul awarded, one little tug on them and it's instafoul.

The one other thing that annoys me is the overhead clearances.

You get the CPU defence caught in a bad position or put in a cross they could never normally reach floating perfectly to your striker's head or feet, and BOOM! Overhead kick clearance. Every time. Good defending purrs the commentary. Bull shouts me.

They manage an overhead kick running with full momentum back from the opposite direction about 8 feet off the ground.

Utter nonsense. I see two or three of those EVERY GAME against me, you should see it once every season at most.

also a 6'3 CB can not outrun a 5'6 CF every player on the cpu side is faster than my fastest player .

And the ball always finds its way to the opponents feet

Fifa 14 is the worst Fifa. Offline probably fine, online the matches feel scripted.

I hate it,

FIFA just like COD a victim of it's own success, they chern out the same (slightly) better crap year after year and slap a £50 price tag on it.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee79d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein113d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator113d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
