Tom Clancy's The Division Dev Comments On PS4 vs Xbox One Meaningful Differences In Performance

David Polfeldt, the Managing Director of Ubisoft Massive, the studio behind upcoming next-gen game "Tom Clancy's The Division", recently commented on whether there's some meaningful differences between next-gen consoles, PS4 and Xbox One with respect to performance?

Duck, dodge, dip, dive, and... dodge.

Dodgeball!!!!

What a misleading title....

He essentially says we can't see any right now but dofferwnces "will definitely come up as we start pushing the envelope further"

They took a neutral statement and spuns less than half of his words into a lie about his overrall statement.

Dewitt4542d ago (Edited 4542d ago )

Yeah that title is very misleading. They practically praised the fact that there are very minor differences which means it should be easy to optimize for both.

himdeel4542d ago

The only difference that matters, your xbox one disc won't work in your ps4 vice versa...so game appropriately.

sigfredod4542d ago

well at least is a sincere developer, recognize that the more push each more diferences will appear, most developers will only say: we aim for experience to be the same lol

MadLad4542d ago

It took years for the differences between the 360 and PS3 to show.
I don't think that it's going to take nearly as long for it to show this generation.

IRetrouk4542d ago

No it didnt, heavenly sword, uncharted, wipeout to name a few

MadLad4542d ago

None of those games were graphical powerhouses when they were released.

IRetrouk4542d ago

Lol yes they were, wipeout was 1080p 60fps, heavenly sword and uncharted were unmatched at the time, even a year or so after they released.

MadLad4542d ago

Well, I don't find that to be true. You can keep giving me a disagree on every comment that I make, but that doesn't make it true.
The majority will say that the PS3 didn't hit its stride until 2009 - 2010.

IRetrouk4542d ago

Im not hitting disagree, dont do the whole agree disagree thing, you said that it took years to see the diffrence between ps3/360, it didnt, nobody said anything about the ps3 hitting its stride or how long that took, nothing at the time looked better on consoles than heavenly sword and uncharted and most games still have not hit 1080p 60fps like wipeout did, your changing your argument because your original point was bull.

Well said sigfredod. If devs will push both consoles to the limit then we're going to see major differences in what is possible. major

IRetrouk4542d ago (Edited 4542d ago )

Edit, wrong post

MadLad4542d ago (Edited 4542d ago )

Gears of War and Halo 3 were released at that point and, I'm sorry, both those games looked better than any of the titles you listed.
I am not fan of Xbox, but that is just the truth. Few would argue it.
I don't see the graphical prowess in Heavenly Sword that you seem to.
Also, I don't believe you aren't one of the disagrees on each of my comments prior to my calling it out. Sorry if that is actually not you.

IRetrouk4541d ago

Look i had all those games, halo 3 was not known for graphics so to even mention that is laughable, as for gears, yeah good looking game but nothing on uncharted, i owned and played both even the comparisons back then back me up, you my friend are delusional.

MadLad4541d ago (Edited 4541d ago )

I am not.
We are now just, possibly, arguing personal bias at this point.
All I am saying is I think you are one of a small few that would consider the original Uncharted more graphically impressive than the original Gears, as well as considering Halo 3 not graphically impressive, for console, at the time of release.

The dev praise articles are useless at this point. We're only gonna see differences in the exclusives

KZ:SF best looking console title so far, and things will only look better on PS4.
