Maybe this speaks volumes about my taste but I personally enjoyed AP quite a bit. It was certainly flawed, clunky as hell, rough around every edge, but nonetheless a great game. Its ideas and the way the story played out were really amazing. I guess it all boils down to how willing you are to overlook some things and if you treasure gameplay vs the overall experience. The overall experience was great. Really was a mass effect in the spy world. Obsidian is a great developer who is usually crippled by tight deadlines, shitty management, and licensed games. New Vegas, Kotor 2, AP, were all damn good.

Couldn't agree more. There are far, far worse games out there than Alpha Protocol.

Got this game for $5 about 3 months ago and it was really good.

The gun mechanics take a few missions to get used to but you just use more strategy.

It is definitely worth playing but with another 8 months of development could have been much better.

It was good but had it's downsides. Hoping for an improved sequel, this game could be a direct rival to Splinter Cell.

I loved it as well. I saw it as a flawed gem much like yourself. I also am a huge fan of Obsidian. I just wish that they could get a bit of time and money and really realise their potential. I think they could easily make something that could rival Bioware's very best.

I thought Alpha Protocol was good. It had great ideas that were simply undercooked.
It's still a shining example of player choice directing the story.
The writing itself was actually very good as well, which makes it even more impressive.
Oh well. Different tastes.

I enjoyed Alpha Protocol alot despite the some of the flawed gameplay. I blame Sega for not supporting it better.
