Now that the indie JRPG Project Phoenix has been successfully funded on Kickstarter with flying colors, the journey truly begins. Ane the ebst way to start is by showing the first real 3D model for the game.

“I do want to finish the game. I do want to, I even want to, I never said this in an interview before, but I even want to refund their money because we didn’t keep the timeline.” Yura explains.

Kickstarter backers can be a negative bunch, but it seems they reserve most of their piss and vinegar for Japanese developers. Why is that?

Joanna Mueller writes: "In the end, CIA's increased scope only served to drive backers further away. Players were not impressed when the team finally released a vertical cut of the new 3D gameworld. CIA was reluctant to start over after investing so much money into their 3D models."
Whats with the quality?
Looks cool though.
I almost backed this project, but after reading more about their vision I couldn't back it as a JRPG nor as the RTS type game they were touting. It sounded bad either way.
Looks nice, I like it.
Hmm they used classic style of super-deformed. I like it and i always had a place for super-deformed model in my heart, because some of my fav RPG used this model too (Tales series, Wild Arms, Legend of Legaia).
