I want Dante's Inferno 2 please, Visceral

darthv724681d ago

That would be great news as i really enjoyed the first game.

BushLitter4681d ago

It's strange that nothing's come off the first one. It clearly said "To Be Continued..." at the end of the first.

Even the literature it's based off is a trilogy of sorts.

darthv724681d ago

Despite it being a bit of a stretch in relation to the story its based on, there were many critiques of it being nothing more than a god of war clone. but hey, if you are going to clone a game....god of war is a pretty good one to go with.

in any case, yeah it seems like a bit of a cliffhanger ending and i can see them getting deeper into the lore of the story in their own unique way but it didnt sell to the extent that EA was really hoping for.

Despite the sell through, i think it deserves a followup game. i know im not alone in this but those that enjoyed the game are in the minority when EA has bigger franchises they can dish out.

it would be nice though if they were to wrap up purgatory and paradise in one game.

BushLitter4681d ago

Definitely a clone! I know I'm in the minority here but I actually enjoyed the combat a whole lot more in DI than GoW. It just felt more satisfying.
I felt that the camera was a bit too close to the action in some of the larger battles, and it certainly never came close to achieving the sense of scale that GoW managed to achieve, but there was just something about the way the weapons and abilities worked together that for me personally felt better than GoW.

Anyway, I think it's a shame that they aren't considering a sequel. Even though it was a clone it was still a great game, and had a fantastic setting and story. Here's hoping someone green-lights a next-gen sequel.

DI 2 would be great :).

mewhy32 is trying to get a rise out of people and it is working.

solidsheep4681d ago

It kinda sucks, even though I don't like Xbox very much I still would like their first parties to push the other 1st party teams.

I really would like to know how much 1 person affects a team like 343. I'm always under the impression its a team effort and 1 persons doesn't pick and choose all the great ideas.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee127d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
