Since the meltdown of the Guitar Hero franchise, Neversoft has suffered layoffs and fallen off the map. While it's currently assisting Infinity Ward on the Call of Duty franchise within the Activision empire, in 2000 the studio was operating on the highest level.
A cancelled Call of Duty game titled "NX1" had footage surface online, along with a Black Ops 4 unreleased mode called "War."
That Neversoft logo took me back to Tony Hawk days. Sad to see this cancellation led to the studio closure.
It’s always sad to see great concepts destroyed so deep into development. They obviously had a lot of ideas and aren’t happy about it. Now withe layoffs even more videos like this will surface soon.
That's right, the team behind Tony Hawk's Pro Skater made a Spider-Man game for the ages...and it's still fun today!
I miss neversoft, if Activision didn't make them run guitar hero in to the ground and then just use them for help on call of duty games, I reckon they could have done well if they were to have creative freedom on a new i.p of something, such a shame
Was my first Spider-Man game. It's the reason why I liked the Venom movie so much, cause Venom in this game was kind of dumb… well after the scary sewers level. Hope you get stalked by him in the upcoming game
Gameplay, graphics, controls, longevity and multiplayer tend to be the most common factors people bring up when talking about video games; yet, soundtracks and sound design are often glossed over. It’s understandable; after all, sound is more embedded in the background of the experience, subtly complementing the gameplay, art and visuals. Sound may seem like a small piece of the gaming puzzle, but it’s not: it’s integral. It can be the difference between a good game and a great game. If a soundtrack is too distracting, it can draw the player out of the experience; if it doesn’t fit the tone of the game, it can make an otherwise intense experience seem goofy; if it’s too stripped back, it can make a game seem empty. Just try playing a 3D platformer without the music – it can make even the most vibrant and colourful worlds seem dismal. Luckily, most developers bring their A-game when it comes to sound design, despite getting little credit for it. Well, credit where it’s due: here are five games with great soundtracks.

The only 2 games I strictly bought for their soundtrack are the Rocketbirds games. Both 1 and 2. I heard the main song playing for Rocketbirds, and loved the song, bought the game.
