The first one was definitely awesome. It's still challenging for me though, lol.

Easily my favorite in the series

Resident Evil 2 showed that survival horror can have a cinematic feel while retaining a scary atmosphere. The amount of content in the game was vast seeing that it had two different scenarios for each character coupled by the tons of cool (but often hilarious) in game secrets.

I slightly liked the design for the prototype a bit more because:

- The previous Raccoon Police Department looked much more authentic.

- Clothes ripped as the player were attacked.

- Much more monsters were placed on screen with additional actions such as climbing on platforms.

- Elza Walker, I felt was much more attractive then Claire Redfield.

- New weapons such as grenades were actually introduced.

There are even more things but I don't regret that the new version came out at release. I do wished that Capcom finished and released the predecessor as a true "Director's Cut" version but fans of the old school will do with a few that apparently many could not. REmake still is my absolute favourite but Resident Evil II is easily my extremely close second......

There was an article a while ago saying that the guy in charge of what went in the game and what got scraped made the mistake of saying yes to everything.

So every idea almost made it into the game. Too many ideas. It did look like a better game but it was far too much, not sure if the console wouldn't run it or what the problem was but they said they had to start again because of it.

I would love for them to release it or at least allow those fans who were trying to finish it off and release it get some form of it to the public. I would love to play it, would pay full retail price for it if it was released tomorrow.

The UK Has Gone Mad for Resident Evil After the Huge Success of Requiem on PS5

Capcom recently released Resident Evil Requiem, and it's been so successful that it's seemingly dragging along every other Resi game with it.

That's certainly true in the UK; the latest physical retail charts have come in, and the top 10 includes five Resident Evil games across all platforms.
