Mind Your Language announced for DS

Learn English and Learn Spanish will be the first two titles in the series released in time for summer, while the remaining three will follow sometime in the autumn.

hmm as much as I like to learn I don't think my DS will be playing these...

Getting better & better

Gaming has gone through many changes over the years, but 2008 was most definitely when the self-improvement and non-gaming software genre came into its own.

Although traditional titles continued to break new ground and fare well commercially, any advances made were comparatively small to those made in the self-improvement market.

The successful launch of games such as Wii Fit and Cooking Guide and the introduction of more practical products like Atari and Ubisoft's driving theory test titles has expanded the scope of the genre. Meanwhile, the continually strong sales of the Brain Training series inspired a significant increase in similar, less conventional games hitting the shelves.

Virgin PLAY and Atari Italy Sign Deal

Virgin PLAY has announced a distribution agreement with Atari Italy for the Mind Your Language series of Nintendo DS titles. In Mind Your Language, players will pass through 4 different levels each of which will become more difficult as their language skills improve. A variety of mini-games and a library where players can look up words and search for popular phrases in each language are an added plus. The series will consist of 5 different languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese.
