I would rather have co-op than a multiplayer frag fest in these types of games. I think a true RPG like 4 player co-op should be welcomed. Something along the lines of the console Baldurs Gate but with Skyrim/Witcher RPG elements.

I think every game can benefit from coop it just a matter of how its done. If you have a game that's telling a story for just one character have it where coop is lock till you complete one playthrough then just have a generic character for the other players. Id l9ve to play last of us with my girlfriend she Or explore skyrim together.

I don't mind this , I always play a lone in co-op games , i don't see anyone interested in playing with me and even if i found one it's annoying waiting for my friend to play a certain game especially when it's awesome. Also , i already see games easy on hardest difficulty so playing co-op make games easier ..

If the graphics are similar (or hopefully even better) than PC I'm picking this up for the PS4

Good, i dont mind a bit of co-op, but like most guys said, some games dont need it.
For me Witcher is a pure single-player experience like most rpg's, roaming around, considering paths, talking to people, buying stuff etc... generally an easy-going and immersive experience which would be broken with someone tagging along.

For me co-op is suited for when you have a clear path or goal, like go thru the cave and fight the boss at the end, actually perfect example would be Demon/Dark Souls, that game utilized it perfectly.

Roaming and exploring is a single-player experience.

I dont think many gamers realize coop just would not work in some games and it is nice to see cdpr will not attempt coop like some developers. For example I sure DAI will have some form of multiplayer just watch.

thanks, no co-op no buy, it does not have to be forced co-op but drop in drop out system, open world games need some form of co-op game play

and for people to say no, seriously so long as it is not forced or have some lame AI partner following you co-op is good, this is real issue when developers put some dumb AI followers which ruins the gamers game experience

Agreed, totally fine with me.

I think everyone can only think of co-op just one way, but if they think out of the box co-op can be very good. Maybe if co-op were smarter, like if you had up to 6 players in a campaign that didn't have to always stay together and can explore individually, but when they meet up or all together then the game adjust the difficulty to how many are playing(stronger/more enemies, more/better loot)

I don't have a problem with co-op if it's just a drop in system such that the 2nd player has no bearing on the story, simply gameplay (increased numbers of monsters, people). Halo got it right.

Never gonna complain at this especially as I havent played the PS5 version yet. Give me a Pro patch 😂😂
